Ems mortars, hands down. The mortars CC everything and the gas does the killing.

If you pair the Gas Strike with Incendiary Mines and VERY careful placement, you can make a field of death that ignores Armor from every unit in the game. I use this as a kiting strategy with bugs and bot to get them off objectives, so the rest of the team can take them with minimum harassment. The Gas Strike is a great choice for Extermination and Blitz missions were you need fast reloading Strats to pop holes and factories in a limited time.

Can confirm I've paired gas strike + incendiary mines and racked up mutiple 65+ kill streaks on the vip evacuation mission.

Gas strike is great and soon we will receive the gas grenades and the gas thrower support weapon! I wish we also got ship upgrades that boost the damage & gas radius of the gas strike.

ive only taken gas strike to bots a cpl times to see how it performs. it's fun to take out a fabricator w the strike n then let the gas dissolve the trash standing around. but in the end, i find other strats more useful against bots. against bugs though? i take gas strike probably 90% of the the time when i face off agaisnt bugs. ill throw a gas strike onto a bug breach, followed up w 1 or 2 incendiary impacts nades, and then i begin shooting into the fog w the incendiary breaker. i will get a kill count over 40 everytime and pretty much eliminate the breach right there. i love the gas strike against bugs! ive been bringing it w me even before they patched the dot! and now it's just so powerful post-patch. great video man. ill look out for more of your content.

Yeah it’s a lot of fun against the bugs! Against the bots there are better options for sure but it can kill things decently enough. But yeah it’s way more satisfying killing tons of bugs with the strike

Something I didn't know about the orbital gas strike is it can also destroy detector towers and jammers, which normally can't be destroyed by eagle airstrikes. If you take OPS for that purpose, consider using the gas strike; I think it's overall more useful with this fact in mind.

The orbitals always come from the middle of the map (according to the loading screen tips anyway) so that's something to keep in mind.

I take the gas with me every time because it does good damage for how awesomely fast its cool down time is. I hope they don't nerf it by increasing the cool down time. The lingering gas is good for enemies trying to advance but keep in mind to give it a moment to dissipate. I found out the hard way that if you enter the lingering gas it will likely kill you before you can turn around and step back out of it.

I never fight bugs without gas strike. It’s extremely slept on at all difficulties. I hurl one at every single bug breach and get around 25-30+ kills every time. It doesn’t kill EVERY bug from a breach but seems like it handles around 60-70% of them. Plus the cooldown is so short you pretty much ALWAYS have one for each breach.

You're probably the fifth or sixth person who sounds like a native English speaker who says "die to" instead of "die from" and I feel like I'm losing my goddamn mind.
