6 months into pickleball and as a former recreational tennis player, I am beginning to appreciate the nuances of the game. I'm on my third paddle, but I'm sticking with control types over power. I want to develop my defensive and soft game skills before I work on power shots. This paddle looks very interesting and might be my fourth paddle. Thanks for the great review.
I’ve been on a search for an elongated paddle and the x control has been on my list. So many have told me how easy it has been for them to just pick up the paddle and play. No adjustment needed. Been playing pickleball for 4 months and have been hooked ever since. Great review!
I did demo this paddle from a buddy. This is just a fun paddle to use. The control and spin is top notch and it has a real stable feeling when contacting the ball. Great review

Love to see the lower swing weight. I've recommended elongated paddles to a few people, but they take a couple swings and decide against it due to it feeling heavier. As someone that picked up pickleball 4 months ago without any previous racket sport experience, using an elongated paddle at first was definitely a huge learning curve. Now that I’ve worked my way up to a 3.5, I would love to use an elongated paddle of this swing weight!
I used a paddle with a 113 swingweight and one with 115 and was surprised how much I could tell the difference. So low swingweight is impressive for this shape and Kevlar also…nice! Thx for review
I played a DUPR ladder with a guy using a Hurache-X and he went undefeated! I love elongated paddles so definitely want to check this one out! Thanks for the awesome review as always.
I've generally shied away from elongated paddles due to the swing weight but this may change my mind. A buddy of mine just got this kevlar version and I will definitely need to try it out.
I'm happy you mentioned the spammers! I def would like a lower swing weighed paddle since im still trying to figure out what weight and shape of paddle works best for me.

Thanks for the Review. I have been interested in the Hurache X Control with the full Kevlar face. Great Company but I wish they would make better names for their paddle variants.
Sounds like a good all court kind of paddle. Ease of manueverability ease definite good for starting or reacting to speed up. Good value for this. Sounds better than the J2K which is also kevlar surfaced.
If you’re an elongated fan you’ll probably like this paddle better however I don’t think there is really anything on the market currently that is as good as the J2K
Two things: 1) You should mention that this paddle comes in two thicknesses: 14mm and 16mm, and they play a bit differently. Normally, I like 16mm paddles, but the 14mm version of this is quite superior to the 16mm. 2) The surface is not 100% Kevlar. The surface contains four layers, The top layer is Kevlar. The bottom three are raw carbon fiber.
Very impressive SW for an elongated. Chris Olson is pretty keen on the CF version of these. It's not surprising that the Kevlar model is a very solid paddle.
Very nice! I've really started valuing swing weight more these days, now that I'm officially not as young as I used to be. While I can generate my own power, I like having good hand speed at the kitchen line. Most elongated paddles just feel a little slow there.

Really want to try out the Kevlar Hurache-X. After having tried the Double Black Diamond and the regular Hurache-X, I'd like to see if this is the middle of the ground of those 2 paddles as I like both equally, despite them each excelling in a slightly different way for me,
very interested in the X+ control due to pop but was wary of the stiff face- seems that the kevlar solves the stiff face issue but pop goes down making this more of an elongated ruby(?) Still, im researching kevlar and and would def like to try this out.
