He said "150 people came to the altar" and that part is true! We might even say 150 people joined that church. What we cannot say (truthfully) is that 150 people received salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a major difference between church membership and Christian discipleship.

The church is a safe place for you to come as you are, but not for you to stay that way. When I hear Murphy talk about making the church a “safe space,” I hear him seeking to water down the message of repentance and thereby corrupting the integrity of worship…and as we can clearly see, this is exactly what happens in his services.

Just watching now, but the young adults in our lives are looking for the OPPOSITE of this world that they have become disgusted with. The peace and soundness of a traditional historical Christian Church is like a balm to them out there trying to survive the horrors they are seeing in today’s “culture scene.” Ina society with no boundaries, their hearts are searching for the true, honest boundaries that separate those who serve the Lord Jesus Christ from those who don’t. They WANT Truth and honesty even if hurts. They know darn well that they’ve gone astray and are looking for a Pastor to call them on it and lead them back to Christ.

We are continuing to see gospel artist/entertainers leverage their popularity, likeness, connection to pastorship for whatever reason (retirement out of music, it’s there dream, to be have more followers/clout, steady flow of income). Almost all these pastors are not qualified. They are “entertainers” who are entertaining folks away from the true and living the God and his word. 🙏🏾

The point you made at 38:55 - 39:20 was excellent! I've watched about seven of your videos and this is by far the best; your critique of Pastor Murphy's response could actually be used in a didactic format (discussion) or introduction into apologetics. I enjoyed this and its very helpful to the body of Christ. By the way, the scripture Murphy references towards the end is in 1 Cor 14 (I think you mistakenly said it was the love chapter); again, an excellent critique and biblically sound in context

People like to use, "David committed adultery" but they leave out the fact that the child conceived in that adultery died as a consequence... Everyone is saying the same thing about Alistair Begg, "He's been a faithful teacher for over 40yrs..." Really??? because his latest "revelation" doesn't sound like a knee jerk response under emotional pressure... He has thought about his latest view on same-sex unions for quite some time... Obviously... "some of the most ungodly people" STAND at the front of the church... this is why we have so many ungodly "come" to the front of the church... Some churches are a safe place **some churches** meaning "Biblical teaching Pastor's, who teach the Gospel". They make it safe for you to come talk about, and try go get out of your sins, by turning you to Jesus Christ. You have support from the congregation, the church, and the shepherd. BEING taught the scriptures, so that your mind is transformed by the RENEWING of the Spirit. We are to be Holy like our Father, giving righteous Judgment to let them know, if they don't turn from their sins they'll like wise perish. 😢
