My name is Dan and I am a veterinarian. Today I am talking about the mysterious respiratory illness. At this point, I do not believe the mysterious respiratory illness is real.
The mysterious respiratory illness has never been diagnosed. Cases of the mysterious respiratory illness have not been linked to each other. Also, veterinarians are starting antibiotics and other medications before testing, so we are not able to always diagnose the cause of the airway disease.
As of my last update in January 2022, there hadn't been any widespread reports of a mysterious respiratory illness specifically affecting dogs.
