Hey Everyone!
My name is Dan, and I am a veterinarian. Today I am sharing about the tornados that hit Omaha, NE and the surrounding areas a couple of weeks ago. It was a wild day, and to make it ever more wild, no one was seriously injured.
Zeus is a Rottweiler that was being kenneled at home when the tornado hit. The tornado destroyed his pet parents house and in the same breath picked up the kennel Zeus was in and took him for a ride. Zeus's kennel was found 4 blocks from where he lives, and he was found 6 blocks away from his home address taking a nape on a bed mattress. I don't blame him, I would have needed a quick nap after an experience like that too.
Zues the Rottweiler was taking right to the vet with the help of a number of different dog rescues. The vet had a look and said Zues is a very lucky boy and he looks great.
This is a remind to all of us that when bed weather hits, sometimes our pets experience more of the fear and trauma than we do. We are able to educate ourselves on what is coming and how to best keep ourselves safe. Always to to plan ahead with any water system that could scare or cause home to your pet.
