This is one of the most informative videos I've seen from B&H. Really, really helpful if you're starting out with IR Photography

Awesome idea and sample images cheers I’ve tried a 720nm filter on my xpro2 I loved it but not so much the long exposures needed as my old sensor results in a lot of hot pixels which are a pain to clone out so I send the camera away to Kolari to modify it to shoot 850nm I all about the black and white so 850nm makes sense to me I’ve had it back a couple of weeks I can’t stop shooting it incredible results loving it.

This video is really underestimated by the great god of YT logarithm! 4 years, less than 400 likes and only 12 comments. What a shame. Great content and very informative.

Thank you for this wealth of information - clear and nicely presented. Just got a Nikon converted to Super Color 590nm. Looking forward to using your ideas.

B&h blessing us once again, thank you so much for your quality contributions to the world of photography! P.s I totally lost it when Laurie said "this is Imogen Cunningham photographing Ansel Adams" 😂 so so lucky!

Thank you, Laurie! I shot with infrared film in the old days, and haven't done any since switching to digital. So this was "interesting". But more than that, your presentation had a huge number of very specific tips regarding spectrum shifts, that caused me to download this, to keep as a valuable reference. Well done!

If you have full spectrum, you have also UV as well. So the blockfilter in you camera blocks not only IR but also UV.

Just discovered this video, most informative but left me with a few questions. The first, Laurie touched on the difference between noise and grain, stating noise is not grain but did not provide a solution to create grain which is part of the beauty of IR imaging. Second, I am unable to decide if all her work was at 720nm or not, some of the B&W images looked as if they were shot with a higher rating filter (myself, I had a Fuji X-E1 converted to 590nm) which enables me to use a variety of filters beyond that frequency. One other point Laurie did not mention Capture One which I feel is the best way to deal with RAW files as the ISO can be taken well below Photo Shop, far easier to work with IR.

I would be sent to rehab if my addiction to my non converted Sony ex 19 m 4 with various IR filters had physical or mental pathologies

i made it about seven minutes into the video and stopped after her fourth or fifth use of "ethereal." like nails on a chalkboard when you hear the same adjective in that short of a time span.
