The katana in general are terrible for a lot reason the nagakiba has a terrible fisic damage but good scaling but the uchigatana has a terrible scaling but good fisic damage. (I'm italian my english is terrible sorry)
I love this weapon unconditionally!! Its so cool and you can put any ashe of war on it for different fun builds! Great build in the video btw! Bloody slash is OP
Would recommend a faith dex build for the keen Nagakiba. 1. use lightning buff and unsheathe for heavy damage. 2. Use Bloodflame blade and double slash for a rivers of blood equivalent. (It’s probably better) 3. And use black flame blade and double slash for fire giant, Elden beast, plasidusax, etc. It’s a very versatile build. Permanent Talismans Ritual sword Shard of Alexander Swap in talismans Lord of blood (2) Millicents prosthesis or rot winged (2 and 3) Dagger talisman (1) Ritual shield (1 and 3) Flask Opaline hardtear (all) Stonebard tear (1) Thorny tear (2 and 3)

I’m doing an arcane dex build and I heard occult is better than bleed sometimes so I was trying to do an occult build but since it isn’t possible to stack it with the bloodflame incantation, I tried a keen double slash bloodflame build and now I’m not sure which is better overall or atleast for bleed.
@@randomfellow1483 with the occult and bleed thing, bleed adds more bleed points but deals less damage. Occult adds less bleed points but deals more damage. If you’re doing good damage, then the bleed is more of an extra. That’s why people say to use occult instead of bleed. Bloodflame blade adds a good amount of bleed points but it also gives you fire damage which is one of the best damage types in the game. This specific build is based around changing for each encounter, but a build based solely on bleed would probably not use any faith and just use an occult infused katana. Here’s an example bleed build off the top of my head Weapon Occult scavengers curved sword with seppuku in main hand Bleed bandits curved sword in off hand (any ash of war) Armor Raptor’s black feathers chest piece Talismans Lord of bloods exultation Claw talisman Millicents prosthesis Ritual sword talisman Flask Thorny cracked tear Opaline hardtear Game plan Use seppuku at the start of the battle and focus on using the dual wield jump attack
i used the nagajiba for half of my first playthrough but i put unsheathe instead of bloody slash as aow. this helps with stance breaking alot and is a cheatcode for farum azula since the beastman get stancebroken by one heavy aow
@@anonisnoone6125 yeah bro go for it, I literally just killed her yesterday, I'm running samurai dex build with Nagakiba on Unseathe, and on my left I use the Uchi, both with bleeding ashes, I upgraded my mimic tear at +10 and I was able to kill her in less than 5 tries and this is the first time I played Elden ring or any souls like game (I was lvl 130 tho)
Improvements to build 1: using bloodflame blade weapon buff 2:using old lord talisman instead of rotten wing sword insignia 3: replacing howl of shibiri with flame grant me strength 4: using blood blade instead of blood slash 5: using ansbach set 6: using dex knot tier instead of opaline bubble tear
If you actually want this to be better, use sepukku, golden vow, shabriri howl, rotten insignia, prothesis, blood exultation, whichever other talisman, and then the jellyfish shield
Power stance two nagakibas have flaming strike on one With quality affinity and sword dance with bleed affinity on the other make a quality affinity build and be a menace in pvp
Blood hound step with Poison option is OP with this weapon . You literally can dodge all attacks and poison buildup will do same effect as scarlet rot ..
I agree but adding any ash of war for me is a waste on a nagakiba unsheathe is simply too op. Find the unsheathe ash of war apply it using blood affinity then u have some mad nagakiba.
Great video, I also started using a build similar to this but I was using double slash and blood flame blade Whitch made it just rivers if blood but better
I love this weapon using it with (bleed infusion) repeated thrust and only focusing on health allowed me to get to the dlc at level 60!!! Amazing god tier weapon
This isn’t even a proper Nagakiba build. You’re just using bloody slash and stacking buffs that don’t share any stat categories. 1. Nagakiba with Dex affinity Double Slash AoW 2. 50 Vigor, 20 Endurance, 60 Dex, Level 15 for Faith and Level 12 for Arcane. Should be about 125 overall. 3. Use Bloodflame Blade + Flame Grant Me Strength + Swarm of Flies Incantations. 4. Back pocket a dagger with Golden Vow AoW 5. White Mask helmet, Lord of Blood Exultation, Millicent Prosthesis, Rotten Wing Sword Insignia. Use Thorny Spiked Tear and Fire Tear This will do SO much better for PVE than the build in this video.

I love seeing someone wielding a nagakiba especially with double slash aow when I invade because it’s the easiest thing to parry. Instant win everytime against nagakiba wielders.
I haven’t tried yet with bloody slash but i did do unsheath with bloodflame blade, it looked sick and it worked really well for me. Especially in pvp. Until the dlc lol
I use something similar rn. RL 150, Keen Nagakiba with Double Slash. Same Talismans. White Mask for bleed buff. Bloodflame blade incantation (you need to rebuff in a fight, but it maxes out AR since keen scales dex at A and you dont need arcane for bloodflame). Rallying Standard instead of golden vow and Flame Grant me Strength. Instead of Opaline Tear I use Greenburst Crystal Tear for stamina regen.
I found the exact same build but with a frost uchigatana in the off hand. It is insane. With the bloodflame buff you reset frost build up after its burst dmg so you can constantly stack that sweet frost 😍
Same exact setup except Dual wield with Piercing Fang (occult) AOW on the right hand and Spinning Slash (Blood) AOW on the left. Two hand either one depending on if enemy boss has bleed or not. This setup will take on ANY enemy w ease
I have a Blood build with nagakiba and uchikatana. But with the ash of war seppukku it’s so broken I ran through every boss within seconds ! Only level 135. Preparing to fight Malenia. I’ve beating Elden beast already.

According to Elden Ring Wiki Milicent’s Prosthesis and Rotten Winged sword insignia are incompatible. But you can get them both from the same quest line.
No. WINGED SWORD Insignia is incompatible with M’ Prosthesis. *ROTTEN* Swing Sword is compatible with M’s Prothesis- and you cannot get both of these in the same playthrough since you have to choose to side with her or her sisters
I actually think it is the single best katana in the game, long reach and a easy to use move set plus being able to change the ash of war and apply buffs makes it the most versatile, spinning slash makes it a whirlwind of blood, truly an underrated weapon for sure
I use a dex build and have minimal req for faith and arcane to use bloodflame(bleed does not change the amount of bleed just the fire dmg) using a strength build because it actually leads to higher damage due to 2 handing it. (Dex if you want to use 2) and whatever ashe is good I like spinning slash but unsheathe is also good.
Katana move sets are the best in the game and unsheath is the best ash of war. All you need is one uchi or one naga, unsheath is very versatile and has a few techs like animation canceling.
yeah same. Although i dont know whats wrong with my build since im in volcano manor at lvl 60 and i feel like the weakest man in the world i deal no damaga
@@eppuart3047 if you’re focusing on unsheathe i’d recommend shard of alexander + carian filigreed crest, i also like jump attacks with this weapon so claw talisman is good too imo. and if you feel like buffing you can use bloodflame blade + flame grant me strength together. other than that just keep pumping dex for raw output. love this build

It really good when you keep in your second slot and wait till you know it will hit because it takes like 10 percent of you health but does massive dmg
Don’t use seppuku use bloody flame , has fire AND Blood dmg. Which is great for enemies who don’t take blood damage but are weak or non resistant to fire damage
Bloody slash isn’t really good for that weapon, I’d recommend replacing bloody slash with spinning slash with the blood affinity dealing good damage and 2-3 hit proccing bleed, to top it off, I’d use white mask, with the white reed set for light role, and good immunity and +30 percent attack boost when there’s blood loss in the vicinity
how did nagakiba beat the twins where need blunt weapon to damage them. do to fact all other slashing item do nothing or little damage to body since made out glass or something like that

I made a new faith/dex character called god&anime and I think this would be the perfect weapon for the build, but I'm debating what ash would be best for practical use and scaling. If anyone can help me out that'd be pretty epic
