The Thunder are about to be so flexible and able to adapt to any team.. I think the starting 4 every game is SGA, Dort, JDub and Chet. Our 5th will depend if we need more size(IHart), more on ball defense(Caruso) or more offense/shooting(Joe) these will also be how we play our 6th/7th guys as well when we make our early subs. We also have Wallace, Wiggins, J Will and K Williams we can play off the bench that have experience and proved they can play. That’s 11 deep and we have a lot of young talent on the bench behind these guys! Excited to watch them
OKC's depth is insane. Starters are SGA, J-Dub, Chet, Dort, and Caruso/IHart. Wiggins will be the 4th off the bench behind Caruso/IHart, Joe, and Wallace. 10 and 11 are J-Will and Kendrich Williams. 🤯🤯🤯
Giddy was a good rebounder & passer.Alex Caruso doesn't do either as well as him.OKC needs a pass 1st PG.Shai Gilgeous-Alexander needs to play the SG position.Wears Your stamina down Initiating offense on every play and being the leading scorer.
i actually like the mavs better without klay. klay is kinda washed and is inconsistant. kyrie is only going to get worse as he ages, and they lost defensive talent. unless they make another good move i like 2024 mavs more then 2025.
Don’t sleep though they’ll still be good and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them again in the playoffs. But yeah they’re insufferable unfortunately hahha they will forever bring up how they beat us with an injured Luka. While true they also had career performances from PJ and DJJ while our entire team besides SGA couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn 😂😂 Luka had an insanely high turnover and pretty inefficient series. Dort made his life hell. I think we can take them next year
Any of you out there who think OKC won the Giddey/Caruso trade simply don't know basketball. We lost that one big time. Giddey was a big part of why OKC was 57-25 and finished 1st in the west and came within one play of making the west conf. finals. I don't think Caruso is as good as Wiggins and we didn't need any more wing players because we already have tons of them so it made zero sense. They're obviously better with Hartenstein as he addresses a big need but losing Giddey makes them worse.
@@backyardbuckets829 2 years ago Giddey averaged 17/6/8 in only 31 minutes. In Harden's last season with OKC he averaged 17/4/4 in 31 minutes. I don't think I'm right...I know I'm right. Giddey is a white magic Johnson and everybody is going to find that out very soon.
Giddy could be that but why should we wait IHart helps with bigs and board and he can guard 3-5 while also still giving us some playmaking. Caruso is one of the best perimeter defender speaks volume by itself …. Now if you truly new okc you would see jaydub and Chet bring more tools to win than giddy. Giddy only brought playmaking at least every player that starts for okc can do it all
@@jittztv3520 Giddey is that already and is only 21 and improving every year. Giving up on an incredibly talented young player like that for a 30 year old who averages less than 7 points and is the same player as Wiggins, Wallace and Williams makes zero sense. Wiggins is a better player than Caruso and we already have him. The trade makes zero sense. We didn't need another wing player.
You want to keep one of those dudes on the floor at all times. They'll play together some. Might start together in some matchups. But OKC isn't gonna change the entire identity of their team.
Hartenstein and Caruso will both start for sure. They're not making those moves and paying that kind of money for them to come off the bench. With Dallas and Minnesota both using two bigs for large amounts of time OKC needs to do that to match up with them.
@@joeldriver-sp2rg nah they can easily Come off the bench okc got Caruso because giddey didn’t want to come off the bench and hartenstein fits okc style for the most part outisde of shooting which he had shown the ability to do it wouldn’t shock if okc made hartenstein shoot more Plus Caruso is injury prone it best to save him and okc will still want to play 5 out in certain matchups up they play hartenstien in the starting lineup but don’t be shock if both are on the bench
They have to upgrade lou dort position with Jonathan Isaac or Deni Advija who are better rebounder and are able to guard all 5 position also having a 3 point percentage of 40 If they do that they are legit title contenders or else second round exit
Thunder might have a better record this season, last season they had 57-25 but they also let their stars rest for multiple games, they could’ve won 4 extra games if they didn’t do that so their record would be 61-21, Boston was 64-18, OKC improved a ton so they could very much get a better record than Boston this season, possibly even 66-16
Boston is good but very beatable. Dallas chocked away 3 of those games due to missed shots and FTs. Dallas is my pick to come out the West again with the additions of Klay, Marshall and Grimes. Mavs still are making moves as well.
Their opponents this year were so outmatched, they could win without KP and weather Tatum's poor play at times when KP was healthy. Next year, there will be multiple powerhouse clubs. They may not be able to skate like they did this year if Philly, OKC, and Mil stay healthy.
That comment makes no sense. They are a contender considering they were already the 1 seed, and they improved their roster significantly with another year for the young core to develop.
So many championships have been won in the preseason including multiple Clippers chips in the last couple of years. The Bucks were meant to be unbeatable last season, whilst the Suns had a super team and the Mavs would miss the playoffs. People should just let the season play out and pray their team plays to their full potential. The Thunder one post season series win after surprising the league and adding 2 roster pieces should've go to peoples heads.
@@808bboarder Cope? because you lost in the second round and added an all NBA talent in Caruso and an all star centre? Relax and let the season unfold, everybody starts at 0-0.
No we don't. You would sacrifice a lot of depth to get him. Ainge is asking for an overpay. Look at his deals where he traded Mitchell and Gobert to get a sense of the package he would want for ainge
The deal with him is he has one year left and danny loses clout with his demands as time passes. As a long time fan of okc, we can beat anyone if our team is playing their best ball. Our young players take giant steps every offseason. Wait and see is best plus Add two great pieces plus individual growth. We dont need lauri. I prefer safe moves because teams like the clippers isn’t how you run a franchise. They have a dark future. Broke and bad.
It is hilarious that OKC fans thought their team had a shot against a team lead by Luka and kyrie. I got news for y’all you have even less of a shot this year. Shai has ZERO HELP 😂😂😂
@@thekill4O5 They were absolutely petrified against the Mavs specifically Chet and Williams. They had a few moments but they are 2-3 years away from serious contention. The additions are nice don't get me wrong but they cannot challenge the Mavs. A real second scoring option is desperately needed. Shai is a #1 and they have a bunch of 3/4 type options otherwise. The strength in numbers thing works in the regular season but not in the playoffs.
@@healthfadsfade , it wasn't Luka or Kyrie that beat us because they just did what they always do. It was freakin' PJ and Lively that torched us but it will not happen again if we met up in the playoffs.
@@ronthom5325 😂 and now you have Klay to deal with. It means 0️⃣ that he’s older dude can still knock down shots plus Naji in over DJJ. Mavs in 5 if it happens again it’s really not close man. Yes it was Luka and Kyrie that beat you with their gravity. If OKC could sign a Brad Beal (type!) you might be a real threat but until then it’s a regular season super fun team.
