The one thing about Count Dante that I wish people would speak up more about is that he should NOT be placed into the same category of "Bullshido" as Ashida Kim, Frank Dux and George Dillman. Was he psychotic? Yup. But he could fight and was effective as a fighter. Many see his "Kata Dante" as "bullshido," largely because Ashida Kim poorly executes it in a video and since it was part of Dante's pamphlet. The reality is, the kata is a mashup of various Kenpo katas; mostly finger sets 1 and 2. In Kenpo, most strikes are to vital areas. Like, finger jabs to the eyes, scraping the face, pulling off ears, smashing temples, crushing the throat, breaking off the xyphoid process, puncturing the kidneys, and various other terminal points on the human body. Many of these are done at the end of a particular "set" in Kenpo. Dante just took all those ending moves and linked them together, like a Tekken Combo. In short, Dante was not the person with whom to F and he demonstrated that quite effectively.
