i hadn't heard the audio on the four-handed catch until now but that analysis is certainly news to me. I don't recall hearing about a rule change so maybe this is a difference between the college and pro rulebooks, or simply a caveat about situations in the endzone, but it's always been my understanding that jump-balls go to the offense. Share of possession has never considered feet for as long as I've been watching the game
