Honestly, in my game, I'm just like "screw it! Let's just have over 350 sims in my lore save file!" I don't really care if it makes my game slow, it's worth it to have a more interesting world. The sims 4 has always just been one big uberhood for me, and I am living for it.

I honestly really miss having just one big world with a ton of families. I don't move around a lot so seeing new stuff doesn't play into my stories as much as the people. And boy, do I hate traveling to see people in the sims 4.

You should check out pleasant sims savefiles where she fixed the basegame families to give them their proper lore!! 👀🖤 pretty please she did an AMAZING job with them and is updating things for packs as well!

i’d actually love to see an entire history of the sekemoto family from the sims 3, i always found them interesting

In the Sims 2 (and I think in TS3 too) they had something called “the sim bin” and they would place alternate/additional families who had connections to the sims actually placed in the world but they weren’t in a house. So every pack came with townie families in houses but also additional families with stories not in the world. Get famous kinda tried this with some of the celebrities being placed “not in world” in manage worlds, and I would have liked to see them do this more in TS4. That way people who don’t play with townies or who want room to add their own families still have space to play (since worlds have limited lots) and there is more lore! I like being able to travel and move between all the worlds but I’m so glad they’ve taken your feedback and added more lore because it’s been lacking. The Caliente’s (yes young adult) don’t actually have any relationship with Don inspite of the bio saying they should (His former fiancée in TS2 was Cassandra Goth and she IS a teen in this version).

In terms of worlds, I would like something like what Nraas Traveler Mod does for the Sims 3. It allows you to travel through Sims 3 worlds while still maintaining relationships from other worlds, basically like what we can do now in the Sims 4, you just have one massive loading screen between worlds. I know it might affect performance in lower end computers but if they do this for the Sims 5 I think it goes down to finding ways to incorporate packs better than enclosing them within worlds, being more intentional and well-rounded with content between packs so you don't have to make so many worlds, and finding a better system that optimizes such demand (you know how they told us that the sims 3 system is much different than the sims 4 that's why we can't have color wheels, etc 🙄). I used to play with that Mod on our very low-end 10 year old PC to take neurotic Nathan Watts from Midnight Hollow on a vacation to Isla Paradiso (because he deserves it) so I know there is a way to make this happen with our current technology.
