The new Predator 5000 Watt Generator needs this Neutral-Ground Bonding Plug to run our Camper Van

Out of the box our new Harbor Freight Predator 5000 Watt Dual-Fuel SUPER QUIET Inverter Generator would not work with our van! After some research we found out this generator had a floating neutral. The floating neutral was recognized by our Surge Protector as an "Open Ground" condition and would not allow power to pass through to our Van. The Neutral-Ground Bonding Plug resolved our issue!

FYI, you can make your own Bonding Plug, purchase a three prong plug and using a piece of wire, connect the Neutral to the Ground connector’s.

Hey, yep thanks for the heads up. I read about it but I liked the idea of the one I bought being sealed. I figured if it rained I wanted it to be as protected as possible. Thanks, Jared

Or just buy a male plug at home Depot and add a small jumper wire between the neutral and ground. Made my own for ~$5 for my solar battery ecoflow in my RV.

Thanks for this. I just bought this generator and have ran it for an hour. I changed out the oil and I will be ready to go with this tip. I was wondering if I needed this to be safe.

Good Morning, thanks for checking out our video! We didn't have a single issue and we just came back from a 3 day dirt bike race where this generator ran for almost 20 hours over the weekend. We had the van plugged in (running AC) plus we had a power chord with all of our cell phones charging at the same time. Thanks, Jared

Wanted this generator. Unfortunately it has no plug for hooking to the house. Features are really nice too.

@3SR TV (3 Seas Recreation) I'm responding to some lateral content from your video such as Pedestal,Field,Sleep,Loud and so on! It might help for you to do your homework before opening the main orphase on the internet! A few of those points, are you jealous? The other points are straight out lies! Noise under your head? Absolute lies from a liar! Seems that form of Orange lay within you as well! Next, I think you would be in for a shock if you truly knew how many things around you come from one of they're "Ones" they have had under survalence for a few decades, for example the smart plug your referencing! That is a marine plug a "One" was suggesting 15 and 18 years ago to be used in RV's! I hope a woke person such as yourself chooses the correct pronoun to identify with so on the next encounter you can be engaged properly! Have a wonderful day!
