I like how you call it a project car and it's cleaner than any CRX I've seen in person since they were brand new. Living in Ohio, all these old Hondas turned to rust buckets a long time ago.

Had a mint EH hatch sit at a tuner shop for a year while parts disappeared. Took months at the junkyards to get back to stock. Glad you learned a valuable lesson; do it yourself if you want it done right. Mint CRX compared to mine
Hondas are not cars to take to shops just not.its all DIY and even taking them to paint shop is a risk in nowadays the truth is people like to use drugs get easy money and are just addicted to porn which just drains all your energy away and ambitions
That’s so sad to hear I literally completely rebuilt my first Honda I ever had it was a 90 si hatch stripped it completely down to nothing and rebuilt it took me and my father About a year start to finish when I was 17 everything but paint was done by us literally the year it took we took our time so everything was done correctly and would drive like a brand new car smh so sorry to hear this it gives people who love to build a complete car a bad name just like most mechanics give others a bad name so much people have a hard time to trust a honest mechanic
I can't believe I never saw this video but love the CRX. Can't believe your supposed friend screwed you on the vehicle installs, I could have done a thousand times better. Anyway keep her on the road and hope to see this in person some day since I am in Oregon.
His friend is def on drugs no one whos in right mind on all he did took 2 years just not at all..all he mentioned takes a weekend if your taking it slow
Man a CRX cost money no matter what the CRX is a real simple special car wheels and tires made them look nice that simple even with out a paint job a CRX is a CRX real simple
Damn your car is super duper clean! I love it!, and 2 half years!!!?? He could have done all the maintenance stuff in one day and have you turbocharged in less than a week running right?! Thank You Brotha! I wanted to be a good friend and give him every chance to make good on this..... 20 years is a long time to be friends with someone..... This was supposed to just be a fun side project for me. I was driving my brand new Accord and My Type R in the meantime so I was definitely able to be patient. I really thought and hoped he would come through and not throw away our friendship over a petty lil build. Oh well, even though this happened the way it did, I truly wish him the best. I know something in his life is seriously wrong for this to be the outcome and I hope things get better for him, truly. I will continue to wrench on this myself when I get time and enjoy it.... This car is so worth it, I highly recommend getting one while you can. ( rare these days it seems...) Sigh.
You have a good car better than many others it does need detailing and i see you have a sharp eyes for these small things .. i say continue in the project piece by pieces and it will look factory again .. and spray the trunk while you are at it as for the plastic cut pieces i am sure you will find something for it worth the cutting .. needs a bit of creativity. I like it :)
This cars kinda like a marriage, it needs some work but once those are figured out, the rings will remain on them fingers and the gold will shine again, perhaps diamonds.
Looks like you have a very solid start of a CRX! Way nicer than what I started with. Hate that you kinda got screwed by your "buddy". Do it yourself. That's the only way to know it will get done to your satisfaction. Check out my documentary I did on my full 91 CRX build with b16 and JDM front. I think you'll really enjoy it. Also you'll see in the video I put a climate control from a CB Honda Accord that you can find super cheap and with a little wiring works great and still looks like a stock component. Also, I used a piece of 3/4" plywood and cut it to match the factory hatch floor cover and covered it in black marine vinyl(looks like leather). Looks great and it's thick enough your sub box can just sit on top. Good luck and looking forward to seeing progress. Let me know what you think of my project! Dude! That means alot coming from you! HA! I've seen your car several times. (May have watched the first video a few times, lol) I so approve, from the color, the JDM front end (thats so damn unattainable now), the CB climate controls I did notice ( I actually have one kickin it on the shelf just haven't put it in and dunno if/when I will seein as how I already fixed the stock one.... Oh well. But yeah man, super dope ride and goals for sure! Also, I agree, this is the forbidden fruit we never got from Japan. These cars with tha B series are just special IMHO....
@@pnwfamchan I don't know what kind of repair you did to the climate control but I know some guys either sell of you can make a plate yourself out of metal or something to attach on the back of it to keep it from cracking any more. I had a perfect one in my white dx daily I had when I built mine and used it as a donor for my nice one. Even after driving that car daily for several years knowing I had to be super careful with the climate control, it also cracked before I ever put it in my nice crx! I recently sold my crx btw:( I will have new videos coming out soon talking about it. Hated to let it go but it was time to move forward with another project and other goals. Already had my next project bought and in the process of building my dream shop at the moment. More to come on that as the progress goes on. Seems like it's taking forever!

We were friends for over 20 years so I gave him the benefit of the doubt..... But kinda glad it worked out this way, now I get to do the work myself and it's rewarding to say the least; I'm lovin' it.....
