Me who has no PC and plays on ps4: this changes absolutely nothing, plasma pea is still the embodiment of instant kills

They were going strong with disabling cheats online. However, i don't think private play needed to be affected by this Furthermore, the execution of the anti cheat is horrid.

Just wanna remind everyone that when this anticheat was added to FIFA it did a better job preventing legit players from playing than actually banning cheaters.

I think we should tell more people about this, imagine the first day of the update half of the player base just gets banned cause they used mods offline and they don't have a clue why

This is very disappointing news for me because I'm working on a project reminiscent of the Community Portal events. I was finally starting to grasp on the game's logic and AI behaviors. I had plans to release it around Garden Warfare's 10th anniversary and the second game's 8th anniversary, as a way for players to take a break from skid-infested lobbies. I guess my creativity peaked a little too late...

Console Player here, I'm going to share this video to spread as much awareness as I possibly can. This game and it's playerbase doesn't deserve this treatment and I don't want an entire community of talented people to go completely extinct.

This was what I was thinking! I’ve seen their anti-cheat with PvZ BFN and I thought this would be a complete disable for mods!

Btw soft lock exploit also a thing on GW1 and BFN but it ain’t getting patched at all there lol.

My heart was racing when you explained the anticheat, but when you said its only for pc and steam, it relieved me so much i almost broke somthing 💀💀💀

its a double edged sword, it stops skids and it stops you from being able to mod anything

They can make a cracked version of GW2 where the anti cheat is non existent. Or downgrade the version, much easier to do i suppose.

I love how the only people that are made is those that are hackers or people who use cosmetic/QoF mods

This is horrible. I bet ea's anticheat is going to be banning more accounts than the hacking.

Someone actually noticed this and made a warning video about this. Thanks man now I am also against them just finding a cheap way of fixing a issue that they should have fixed day 1. The mods are super cool I love them now they are going away might as well say we wanna kill pvz because that's what they are doing. People are acting like: pvz 2 is still getting updated who cares about those?? The only thing I see the majority of the community wanting is a gw3 or gw2 update. Cuz i js gave my self all the legendary variants using a mod; that i get to permanently keep those characters when not using the mod and launching the normal game, would I not be able to play?

bro im slow but its always amazed me how do you get your camera to be like this for videos ive seen people do the same thing with gta 5 but i know on there you have rockstar editor or whatever it is

I really hope the march update would not be mandatory. The mods are the only reason why I'm currently playing GW2 and without them I would get extremely bored because the vanilla versions of the offline game modes are extremely lame.

I thought it was sus when they mentioned kernel-level in the announcement, but didn't know what it really meant

I'm worried this update won't do much to stop the banning since all they need is a Kernel-level Cheat Engine and change the name of the application so they can bypass it. This anticheat will only make tools even more insecure by making them operate at the Kernel level and considering, the only thing that made me and a lot of other people interested to play this game anymore was the mods, so this also cuts off players too. But for now I have to see once the update rolls out before making a final opinion on this.

First of all, I’m just shocked they cared enough to update the game at all. Second of all, It sucks Even more bc this all happened JUST as ppl were going to try and revive It. Sucks that ea treats their games like this, considering how good they are, and it’s painful to know that now almost no one plays, nor knows those games anymore. Sorry for the long rant!

if they are gonna update the game can it at least be an actual update? i like the fact that i just jump in a hacked server randomly that just adds charm to it

hope everyone realizes that the anti-cheats for most triple A games are at the kernal level as well like activisions Call of Duty Anti-Cheats, Apex's Anti-Cheats, Valorants Anti-Cheats. a lot of anti-cheats are at a KERNAL level, its how they work to provide you a playable and enjoyable expierence without hacks or cheaters in your lobby.
