I've been in love with the SR-71 since I was a little girl. My dad took me to see one fly one time back in the 90's. I even got to touch it. It is one of my most cherished memories that I hope I never forget. I made my dad one out of wood in third grade. My husband got me a model one that is currently sitting on top of my computer. It's the most beautiful plane ever. This video made me smile the whole time. I'm glad I found it.

This is one of the most amazing RC's I have ever seen. The LED afterburner effect is amazing. The people that build and fly these complex jet RC's are amazing...Creative, talented and skilled... both artist and technical.

Im about the same age as these guys. Is that the kind of music they listen to at home. Next time put some old Rock and Roll on.

Wow... I'm really blown way by these RC event!..... And I was just looking for drones.. This is another level!!

I remember reading about the YF-12A during its development and before it became the SR-71 Blackbird. I also saw it fly when I was landing in Okinawa on my way out of Viet Nam in 1968 and then take off from there. It was in a read hanger at the end of the runway, the first thing I remember was the B O O M as it fired up, the doors opened and that thing came down the runway like a scalded cat on steroids. about half way down it rotated and it was up and away like a rocket. I have never forgotten that sight nor sound. It was Beautiful!

My favorite plane goes 248mph , has LED lights and looks sexy still in RC form Truly impressive!!!

Wow that's fucking insane!!! Granted I had no idea people flew RC miniatures powered by jet engines until I saw this but I am, as an engineer, extremely impressed! The Blackbird has been my favorite aircraft since I was 8yo so I am very jealous right now! Many props to you sir!

Don't know why we stopped using the 71. One of the best aircrafts we ever built. Excellent video. I wish I had the money to get into rc's.

The SR-71 is the baddest, sexiest, fastest looking, fastest flying aircraft in the entire world. The thing looks like it's doing a million miles an hour, just sitting still. The world will never see an airplane quite this sexy and amazing in my lifetime. Too bad it's retired. The plane few so fast, the entire aircraft would stretch a few inches just from the friction and drag of the air on it's surfaces. The plane would physically get hot. That's how you know when you're flying fast! Glad someone made a classy amazing RC model of this. Amazing video. Don't think I'm quite into the AC/DC remix of Thunderstruck.. but hey, can't have perfection in every video.

How does the pilot track the pitch, roll and yaw from so far away at such high speeds? Does he just know the plane and controls so well that he can picture it in his mind? It seems he could easily roll it too far and end up losing it with just a small mistake. Impressive.

Now this would be a great and safe air show to attend. Nothing against the real air shows but sometimes things happen and good pilots and people meet unfortunate circumstances. This seems to be just as enjoyable maybe even more...

Absolutely amazing work on the SR-71 black brid MODEL . FLY's great and fast like the real one . seems to handle well in the air . Good workmen ship building it as well. impressive ... . The US military should have kept using and building those SR-71... i still say its the fastest and best maneuvering plane we in the US ever built BASED ON A DESIGNE from a movie called FIRE FOX . WITH CLINT EASTWOOD.. SHORTLY AFTER the SR-71 BLACK.BRID I THINK SHE CAME TO LIFE . . ANYWAY .!!!! GOOD JOB GUYS GOOD VIDEO .

That is absolutely amazing. I am completely dumbfounded ,between the speed and size of this hobby grade jet to the electronics down to the propulsion system. Simply unbelievable!!!!!! I wonder how much a setup Like this goes for in terms of financing,money? You know the personFlying this has alot of experience as well. This individual aint no stranger to flying either he probably owns or rents actual planes because even though these are smaller scaled down versions of real jets you need to have alot of knowledge of the physics involved such as lift, drag,Yaw etc. Overall this is an expensive hobby to take up. I myself have and always had a passion for flying but unfortunately coming up with that kind of money kept me grounded. (Sorry people no pun intended ) Even cheaper versions of flying planes mostly made in China are a little on the pricey side. An example the 2.4 gigahertz cheaply made radio system servos a brushless motor setup. Most of these planes are made from styrofoam can run you upwards of three to four hundred dollars, now can you imagine the price of these expensive jet-powered planes that are not made from styrofoam but probably made from some expensive carbonfiber or lightweight alloy.Lets not even get into the actual jets they incorperate into their Frames its scary. You need to have alot of money ,burning desire and aPassion for flying. I hope one day they mass produce these so it becomes cheaper or even affordable so I can finally get into this hobby. I want a basic setup again made from cheap materials brushless motor and a 11.1v li-po battery and its costing me almost 300 dollars. Lame!!? just stupid eh. All it is, is a piece of styrofoam a motor ,battery receiver 3 tiny servos a gyro for steady flying. These parts are relatively cheap and inexpensive but its hard to purchase them alone because lets face it my setup would be probably under 50 dollars but nope i have to go to a hobby site where they rip you off. Bummer Does anyone know a place where i can buy a cheap plane setup. Any infoWould be greatly appreciated. Thank you people,Paul S.
