Right! I find him and Marques Brownlee to be the more professional and serious youtubers. My go-to when looking for an opinion on a device.

@@mherrera7111 mkbhd is good but I find him just a bit too over produced, like the quality is a little too heavy. Dave makes his videos feel more personal while mkbhd feels like it's coming from a big company, if that makes any sense

@@ai00436 The irony is, MKBHD has always done it all by himself. He has a couple people help him now, just due to the logistics of how much content he makes, but if you watch MKBHD videos from a few years ago you'll see him in his college dorm room still trying to pump out the highest quality videos he possibly could. The reason it looks overproduced is MKBHD is really into cameras and video aesthetics, he isn't a camera review channel but he talks about his gear from time to time, and he has a massive collection of very expensive camera equipment. It really is all him, but he's pushed the quality so high to the point that it no longer looks like it's made by a single person.

Yes..I'm having 6core laptop! Just moved from 2core.

Using 2 core laptop for my entire life... From core2 duo to i7 5500u to i5 5350u to i3 10110U. One day I'll upgrade to a 10 core or higher laptop. It will probably be in the ddr5 era. :)

This is nonsense. He and other reviewers said Macbook Air M1 was a profound improvement. Now he's saying MS surface 4 is equal. What's going on?

the whole cpu evolution is a play. microsoft asked for their amd chips to be twice as energy efficient as it was designed to be, and amd delivered it within weeks. intel and amd have the entire future planned ahead, and they have cpus that are even byond quantum computing as well. becuase quantum computing is an overrated hype thats not well understood and not at all fitting what consumers or even businesss execute. And quantum computing is a scam to farm money from investors without even delivering an working prototype that does get half the answers wrong because its scientifically not even possible to make noiseless. i am much more interested in theevolution of software, as that is where everyone is capable to compete. and the open source community and inux doesnt really seem to provide, making me a real fan of microsoft for pushing companies to move to security, AES, TPM, encryption and all that. Microsoft is a wonderfull company, and their products last 10 years under heavy load. while competitors other than apple fail within 2,5 years under heavy load.

@@rano12321 I know, I was relating to that MAX Test when brightness was set to low and undemanding videos were played. The MacBook could hit those 20 hours as promised, while the surface reached 13 hours tops. Just trying to point that out. Not trying to hate or something like that the surface is also still impressive

He actually does talk about it. He says he hit with 50% brightness and all of the other settings apple claimed to get it

Linus also is amazing they're both my go to also MKBHD is doing great reviews as well but those 2 Dave and Linus stick to the ground bases and more closer to their Audience

M1 was kinda ground breaking and Surface is playing catch-up. If this was sports, the media would give prime attention to the league leader right.

It's crazy that Microsoft Claims 19 hours so that it can compete 20h claim of MBP-M1 on the paper. People would think: "Oh 19 hours, thats almost like 20" :) It's pure misleading marketing. While M1 can hit the 20, MSurface 4 can do this probably only with display turned completely off. :) I mean 14.5 hours vs 19 is 23% deviation.

​@@huggyuk No it's not. Even on balanced profile you barely lose 10-15% performance. My Ryzen 5 3500U VivoBook doesn't loses performance on battery! At all! Neither will this! It is a..... Myth of sorts that comes from Gaming Laptops. In Gaming Laptops too, the GPU is often given priority so the CPU does slow down, but it is simply because they are Gaming Optimized and CPU doesn't matter as much in Gaming. Plus those Gaming CPUs can still outperform Ultrabooks on battery sooo.....

It is just a foolish myth run by iSheep as usual If you want to, be my guest, flip out your Windows Ultrabook, put it in Balanced Mode (default) and run tests. It is really negligible performance loss. And since you're talking long term, my dear, ALL chips throttle on or off battery, even ARM does. Even my MBP 13 and Nitro 5 hitch during renders. If you're too ignorant to not want even 1% performance drop on battery..... Idk what to say.

Lol its 11 vs 20 not 11-13 , coz Microsoft achieved 11 hours only never the claimed 17 but apple achieved their 20 hour claimed at their given settings ,but 13 hours is what you will get on normal use .

Heard that there are issues with the keyboard and the hardwear in which when you press on it, it moves... does it actually happen?

@@melo3427 I have the all-metal version. Nothing moves when pushing the keyboard except the keys, as designed.

Bought the base ryzen model for 700€, and it is great, puts my Surface Book to shame in terms of performance and battery life.

I’m impressed. Didn’t expect Microsoft to come out with a Surface that can rival the M1 Macs this soon.

@@LorianandLothric When a company of this scale finally brings it's act together, it's usually something really significant over it's previous products, finally we are seeing some competition and it's not going to be only braindead customers buying macbooks over windows laptops, and that Microsoft was ready to strike back.

Same goes for my HP Omen. Maximum it lasts for 3 hrs on better battery without charger. I really don't why the battery draining of gaming devices is so fast.

@@shadmanimtiaz1874 gaming devices components generally are tuned for performance and manufacturers of said products don't really care about power efficiency since most people are just going to use it plugged in anyways

@@shadmanimtiaz1874 You can set either a performance or a bettery saving mode in windows power options and if you set the mode to battery saver it will increase dramatically your battery life. For example I can get to 4 hours on my razer blade but be careful because battery saving mode will make gaming not an option. But is nice to know if you just need to browse the web

@@mr.cookedfish9978 yes. I usually put it in battery saver when I am watching or browsing something. Although due to high gaming in the past, my battery life have reduced a lot. Might get a new battery.

@@willem2099 Yes, the most famous case is the Raspberry Pi, which runs Raspbian, a Debian-based Linux distro for the Raspberry. But if you're asking because of the M1 Mac Chip, it doesn't run there, yet.

Honestly, the Surface Pro X with the keyboard snap cover, is pretty much laptop class. My partner owns one and that thing is honestly very rapid. Loves it.

Snapdragon is Arm and windows is designed to run on X86. That's why we are seeing resistance. Otherwise it's been possible for a long time.

@@N0Xa880iUL X64 emulation is coming next month with 21H1, plus firmware updates to optimise it. Will still be performance loss compared to native ARM64 code, but honestly it won't prevent anything from running any longer. Windows as of that point, can begin competing with Apple on ARM. Next gen chips coming in the fall from MS/Snapdragon, watch this space.

@@N0Xa880iUL Microsoft's SQ2 chip is a gem, it runs W10 ARM extremely well. Office, Firefox, Surfshark, Steam and Spotify work blissfully on there. The main qualm was lack of emulaiton for X64 as that is important in the Windows ecosystem and will remain so for many years. With that arriving now however, i really want to see a 2021 SQ3 chip released that dominates in performance. It is entirely possible and will be far less barriers to entry from a software functionality standpoint.
