That trailer looks great. Solves that problem of the warehouse crew disappearing for hours. Drive to the front of the store, slam on the brakes real good, hit the switch and hope everything lands upright.
I don't even drive a truck and I want this trailer. haha all it needs now is attachable option roof slats so when you are hauling normal cargo it doesn't get wet from rain. impressive trailer. although they should rethink the shiny polished outside. doesn't seem like a good idea on a bright sunny day.. seems more like something that would blind the other drivers around it.
Another benefit is you're able to carry small mixed batches in the same trip. You can do this using a tarp w/ a traditional dump but w/ yours you would simply load the first stop closest to the door and second close to the cab. These things are badass.
The company I work for bought one last year. It was lucky to haul 3 loads in a row without a problem. Spent half of the first year in the shop. We are a big company. If an owner operator had purchased this trailer he would have been bankrupted. This was only one case and could have been a lemon. A friend of mine has an older Trout River walking floor and has had nothing but good luck with it. Just my 2 cents
Wow, sweet. That's work great for what we're doing at work. We are using side dumps to dump on fabric for building roads. At the end where he is moving dropping gravel would work great on our job sites.
If you have ever put a vinyl sticker on, you would know that you can spray the surface with soapy water, set the decal straight and then squeegee it. works fine every time.
access door nice feature, reversable floor? WOW! straight sides means lower center of gravity for higher cornering speeds! Great looking shiny sides, no tarp bows to get bent by rookie loader operators. This trailer seems to be the "SHIZ" but only time will tell how it holds up over time and what kind of design bugs will surface. What is the weight of this trailer? And the most important Q, what is the cost fellas?
it wont replace a belt trailer for feed products that have to be unload slowly in a small pit using the small door. i think thats its biggest drawback. You have to use the big gate
that would be fantastic for hauling fir chips to the pulp mill. you wouldnt have to wait in line for the ramp and hopper. the extra loads each day will pay for the trailer in no time. heck you wont have noob drivers backing of the side of portable ramps at night either. thats a huge savings right there..
I was looking at the preview picture of thsís video and had to ook it, cause that polished side of the trailer looked like there isn o sidewalls at all, and I was wondering how that dirt is staying on the flabed :D
looks very badass, but the one thing I wouldn't load into it is hot ash felt, it looks like it could do some damage after some time......... I would buy it if I had a truck :)
loading that kind of trailer is like a pain in the ass. the crossbars are to close. and they have a gap on the front of the trailer when the stuff going down it can fall over the gap, into the wire command. they don' t show that in this `` promotional video``. the compagny i work for buy one after a week they send it back. it feel apart.
What happens when the numb nuts driver leaves the head board in the rear position, and a load is placed in front of the head board? Also how do you prevent wear and tear against aggregates along the side walls? Looks to me like sand will cram under the floor corners in between the belt...I'm sure that will increase wear and tear. Just another junk live floor.
