He mentioned NECROS ! What an awesome Ann Arbor band, loved those guys. But I'll never forget Crumbsuckers. Life of Dreams was such a great album that flowed from song to song, never letting you go. A real musicians album. Beast on my Back was also good. What an impact these guys had on my life. The top three Crossover bands were spot on, Suicidal/Corrosion/DRI really started that scene.
These guys are the definition of " Most underrated band in the world"!. Killer sound, incredible song structures and amazing lyrics. For over 20 years Gary's lyrics have always been politically charged, which I like. We played with them many years ago in Corona, Ca. But that's a whole different story.
These boys were nice enough to let my band open for them at sundance, will never forget how cool these guys are. Took a while, but learning how to play the beast on my back album taught me so much. Listen to beast and life to this day.... oh... if gary or dan ever see this.... sorry about the pina coladas at LaMendolas house, lol. My bad!!!
Life of dreams baby. I still listen to it everyday. Sundance was a blast. I can still smell it. I’m so confused how some people say crumbsuckers sold out with beast on my back. Why. It’s as hardcore as it gets. The guitar work is phenomenal but that doesn’t make it heavy metal.
Pro-Pain got me turned on too Hardcore!! Heard some Cro-Mags when I was a teen but lately playing drums Pro-Pain has been a band I really like!! Gary seems like a great guy!!
