The New York Hardcore Chronicles "Riley's Attic" (Episode 2). Lifelong collector Bob Riley (Stigmata / Murderer's Row) walks us though some more of his incredible collection. Directed by Drew Stone
I love ALL of these videos but these two with Bob Riley have been my favorites. Being a record nerd I enjoy the fuck outta seeing fellow record nerds showing off the records that they went after, dug for, found and cherished. This makes me miss the way hardcore was back when I got into it. These bands were our lives, man. Anyway, I can't wait for more parts! I hope you show more of Bob's records. Shit, he needs a show all his own!
OMG Bob! Thank you for confirming something that I was sure about but no one remembers: that you sang in Final Terror at that 288 show with YOT and TE. I absolutely remembered you singing with FT. After that I only saw FT without you and Cranial Abuse with you, and then 30 years later I started to doubt myself. I have wondered about this for years.
I've never been a collector because I'm not responsible enough to have nice things:) I appreciate people that have the passion to preserve culture in their own way. Great stuff.
Awesome! Although, these kinda videos fuel too much on ones collector urges :) That is if there werent already way too many current records to pick up, hah!
