*Battery life is great **Latest.Bike** Scooter . Love the different driving modes. It’s got a little headlight and taillight too. Gets lots of looks haha*
Great review, I ordered two in the early bird deal. Also have the limited edition version with LG battery (945Wh battery, same weight), and an upgraded factory fitted motor ! :)
Could you please review the Kugoo Kirin M4 Pro? If you do, as far as I can tell you'll be the first professional review in English and I need the help deciding😁
Glad Inmotion has sent you the Inmotion L9 for review Ben hehe! Those suspensions + 10"inch tubeless tyres + very long battery range is a win WIN combo for e-scooter commuters out there. Here's hoping the Inmotion team can sort out the inmotion app for the L9 and for future revision they should reduce the stem height slightly down and redesign the charging port cover as well (should be like the Ninebot Max charging port cover). 😁🛴
Everything with this scooter seemed great for its class before I saw its weight... 24 kilos??? Seriously? Well my single motor Kaabo Mantis is exactly 24 kilos. For a little bit more money you get a hell lot of a scooter - I think in the UK it costs around 900 pounds, but for that price you get an 800w motor, 45km/h top speed, 30km range at top speed (I am a 93kg), amazing suspension and dual hydraulic disc brakes which stop you on a dime. No bell however :(
How does this scooter compare to the Zero 9? I am about to purchase a scooter, and a am mainly stuck between choosing these two. The InMotion being a little more interesting thanks to an official IP water resistance rating, which is interesting In Belgium, But it's a little sketchy to get my hands on with indiegogo and also am not sure about additional taxes when shipped to Belgium.
Loving the review of this. I'm after this scooter as it's just awesome but trying it out and having tubeless tires would you say it would be possible to slime the tires to prevent punctures? Also how much space is on the handle bar to add accessories? Any new on the functions or changes of the scooter in production now?
I started looking at the Xiaomi and then moved on to the ninebot max but it was still missing something. This one caught my eye and you have nailed it with this review. It's what the ninebot should have been, sold! EDIT, The new S1 looks like the better option now.
It looks like a really heavy duty commuter vehicle. I have a Inmotion V8 EUC, and it is very good quality. Hopefully the scooters will have the same build quality. Nice review as always. Cheers 👍
interesting scooter, but a bit too heavy for 4 flights of stairs for me... I have seen other tests where the range is nowhere near, not even half at full speed, but still decent... Overall an interesting scooter, and, as always, a very entertaining video Ben!
Thanks for the video. Ben, you said that the stem is quite high what is unusual. Is still comfortable to ride it? Will I feel any difference comparing with Xiaomi?
hey ben, great review. i wonder have you measured the handlebar height of the scooter (from deck to handles)? i am 6'7 and most basic models of scooters are just too short for me to ride comfortably. may i also suggest that you start adding handlebar height to your future reviews as newer models are getting ever more diverse from the initial height standards set by xiaomi 365 and ninebot es2
Brilliant video Ben and one question? How do you afford to get all the scooters and where on earth do you store them all? Now that's over, that is a real neat looking E-Scooter, I do love a Disc Brake over Drum Brakes. Good to see it has the potential to travel a range of upto 60 miles on one charge. I just bought myself the Dualtron Mini which is still on it's way over here on the Banana boat lol. Hopefully I can get a review done myself of sorts with some range tests too. Keep up the great work my friend. Take Care and Stay Safe 👍 🇬🇧
Good review Ben! Looks like a good e scooter! Would you say it tops your etwow booster gt?! I have to thank you aswell, because of your reviews i bought a zoom stryder ex, its good fun and value for money! 👍
Torn between the ETwow and now the Inmotion L9. I live within a commutable distance of Belfast city but would only use the scooter for fun. I think the load L9 is able to carry give it the edge. I live in a house with a garage so can put it in there but securing when out and about an issue. 🙈
Tough one. You wont be disappointed with either - though you may want the xtra speed of GT if you have back roads. Have a deeks at my review of the GT 2020
However... Good quality bit of kit by the looks of it 👌... Let Boris do range test... Then he can see how social distancing works very well on e-scooters 😁... Just one other thing... IPX rating? How water resistant do you think it is??... Top video as usual Ben.. Always fun to watch 🙏
Great review. It looks like InMotion has created the best mass produced commuter scooter yet designed. I couldn't agree more with your comments that the L9 is what the Ninebot Max should have been. Hopefully the price drops back down to the $600 range. At $800+ I think a person might be better off saving a bit more and buying something like an Emove Cruiser. I almost jumped on the early bird special, but wanted to wait and see if there were quality issues. I believe they have also created two new options of a more powerful motor and an even larger battery, for greater speed and greater distance.
Thanks Ben! I like a lot of things about this scooter. I just wish it had higher top speed given its weight and less portability. The weight and lack of folding handlebars takes it out of the ultra portable class. Once you get out of that class I want some more power at the cost of range. Kick-up the voltage and increase the nominal power of the motor to 750-1000w. I personally would rather have the E-Twow GT that goes 25MPH and has enough range for most things. It is cool to see Inmotion in the scooter game. They make great electric unicycles.
I wonder if one will be able to "unlock" some more speed out of this. Sure looks like it would have the potential to go faster.... Everything is perfect on this thing. (big range/suspension/wheels)... I think the scooter gods are finally coming around to about perfecting the e scooter.
The only problem is if scooters do become fully legal and even under the trial this scooter due to the speed would make it illegal to use. Which is a shame because we all know 20 mph is the right speed for these small scooters that doesn't mean we would all be riding at 20 all the time it just means we would have enough power to stay up with traffic. I believe the govt has offered 12.5 mph to higher scooters and they must carry insurance, strange how they have side stepped the issue of Escooters by placing unrealistic expectations on them.
M365 doesn't have suspension for rough terrain, and it can't climb hills like the L9...according to reviews from Electric Scooter Guide. The L9 is a tank, but it easily climbs a 30% grade. And there isn't much difference between 18.6 mph and 20 mph...neither one being very fast.
want one of these to commute to work on through an urban area ? are they legal to use onthe roads / pavement or do i run the risk of the police taking it off me ?
Im looking to get this. For £800, I cant find other scooters in the UK match the specs. Do you still recommend it today or is there a rival in the market now?
@@BenFox01 thanks buddy. I know at the time of recording, you were unable to review the software, did you get a chance to play about with the app? I wanted to know if you can limit the speed and how flexible the limit is ie can u set the limit or is it a preset limit at increments?
Hi Ben I just bought a Xiaomi m365 and I was wondering what helmet you wear. I actually had a zoom stryder ex but it broke and zoom never replied so I’m out 600 pounds😭
Hey i just got a chance to buy a freego es-08s v1.9 for €299 should i do it or should i save up for the m365 and maybe put a lcd on it later can you Please make a review of the freego since there are only ads and spanish review on RU-vid
Freego scooters work and have good specs, but you also have to keep in mind that they're a niche Chinese company. You should expect to do a good amount of maintenance work on one of those, and if something breaks, odds are pretty low that you'll find someone to help you. If you're okay with the having to handle all the maintenance yourself, Freego would be a great option. Otherwise I'd go with the Xiaomi- better build quality and a huge user base that can help troubleshoot your issues.
Ben! I need your help! I recently bought a e scooter from Green Hybrid Bikes Leicester thanks to you, but I'm asking whether 8 inch tyres can ride on grass? Would it still ride on long grass or only on cut grass? Anyway you've got a new sub!
Hey Ben, nice review looks a pretty good scooter. I'm getting a Kugoo M4 on Saturday which is probably a competitor to this. Have you seen them? I'll let you know what I think.
@@chrisw4215 so far so good but it's early days. Have done about 10 miles on it so far and great performance. Excellent hill climbing given the single drive of the m4. Seems to represent good value for money.
whats the update with the legality of e-scooters in the UK? i fancy upgrading my 365 pro to one of these when its fully operational and ironed out with a working app
Yes, but since Ben received a prototype unit version of the L9 the inmotion app won't work with it until the team has shipped out the final product in August for the backers on indiegogo.
Anyone help. I've watched, re-watched and watched more videos on different e-scooters that I'm now at a loss which one to get. Budget 600-700 squid. Was looking at the 365 pro but...
@@BenFox01 Your vids are full of humor and energy, and i love this ! I had 3 e-scooters: -Xiaomi m365 (Had it for 2 years and sold it, worked perfectly) -Xiaomi m365 pro (1 year, the motor died while braking when i was at 34kph ascending a hill) -Xiaomi m365 pro 2 (the one that i use now, had it for 8 months and it's still like new) And the l9 is next ! I've had a great experience with Xiaomi, now let's see if Inmotion will do the job ! (Sorry for the poor english, i'm french 😂)
@@BenFox01 I saw on Facebook that Inmotion apparently fixed the overheating issue by increasing max temperature and by slowing down the motor when it gets too hot !
Hi Ben do you know a place where I can get a zoom stryder ex battery as mine broke and I cant gets a refund cause zoom disappeared. Totally illegal way to run a company
Great review, I'm quite happy not to have bought the ninebot max. The only problem could be its popularity (for spear parts in the future). Regenerative breaking is totally unuseful, don't worry at all about it.
@@_Digitalguy oh yes, from the breaking-power point of view, you are right. But if you look at it only for the power regenerated back, it is nearly irrelevant.
Ange C. absolutely agree on this, but I think Ben looked for it as an additional braking system more than for its regen capacity. I don't even call it regen I call it electric brake as I don't care about energy regeneration
