Lights, cameras, sensing! Tune in tomorrow, June 7, for new features and hardware that will take robotic inspections to the next level. Don't miss the premiere: • Spot Levels Up | Bosto...
I've almost finished my shift on the factory assembly line, when suddenly all the lights go out. Amidst the nervous murmurs of my coworkers, I hear the distant sound of metal feet (clickity-clackity clickity-clackity) as they surround the building. We all huddle together in the darkness, eyes scanning the shadows in fear and desperation. And then we see it: the tiny red lights, blazing in the darkness, fanning out to encircle us, leaving no corner of the factory unseen. The Inspectors have arrived.
@@mikeGintheplacetobe If you're worried about it, swap out the communications controllers and remove any unused receivers. Then make sure you're paying your IT guy.
"Anyone there? I accidentally got locked in!" Imagine my relief when the security "dog" came slowly wandering out into the back of the warehouse, their familiar and comforting green glow beckoning me. They carried spare keys if you knew the input code, which i did. And then the light turned red.
CGI so good that I saw one in a event, it almost looked real like it was really there in front of me. It doesn't even need VR it's really impressive CGI.
Can anyone confirm my doubt that the camera work is done by another one of those robots as well? Can we get the behind the scenes, if that is the case?
@@elphantman that's scary that you don't believe totalitarianist govs care. If you know where everyone is at all times in YOUR virtual prison doing exactly what you expect them to be doing, then you can clearly commit the most egregious humanitarian atrocities. But by all means. Remain a boiling frog consuming and consuming. Hopefully you don't accidentally step out of line with them. EDIT: did you seriously give yourself a "like"?
This is incredible! Boston Dynamics continues to push the boundaries of industrial inspection with their amazing robots. The level of precision and efficiency demonstrated in this video is truly impressive. These robots are revolutionizing the way inspections are done, making them faster, safer, and more accurate. The combination of advanced mobility and sophisticated sensors allows them to navigate complex environments effortlessly. It's amazing to witness how technology can greatly enhance productivity and safety in industrial settings. Kudos to Boston Dynamics for their groundbreaking work in the field of robotics!
Your robots seem to be teleported from the future to us 😮 I built a stair climbing vacuum robot that have kind of the same effect in small. It is cool to see that many people are intrested in robotics and your company is a big reason 👍
Is it actually the next level, or is it going to be like the numerous recent videos showing the same clips of Spot traversing the same factory and looking at the same gauge? Because Spot has been out for two years now and is the current level, no longer the next.
if iam not mistaken, they changed/improved the payload. Last time i saw Spot in such a Video, it had either the Arm or one Sensor-Payload. These Spots here have either one arm + Sensor-Payload or a payload of 3 sensors. But this was only a Teaser for tomorrow it seems.
I suspect that now that they have a competent physical system, most of their effort is spent on improving the AI. It might look like a dog but it's meant to replace people, not dogs! To do that it needs to think like people.
Question to the wonderful people at Boston robotics, do you guys have farming versions of spot? These lil guys could probably scan and pick entire fields of low bush berries. That’s stuff like: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, currants. Best part is they tend to grow in small clumps. If an ai was trained to locate the base of that clump, it could pick entire fields. Another step towards the automation of everyday life. Then people also don’t have to work one of the most gruelling jobs I know of. Field picking, 12 hour shifts in the sun. And, farmers would be able to lower prices as they don’t have to pay for workers. Just the electricity bill, or even a solar battery to charge them at night/during the day to pick at night. Just some food for thought to the most advanced robotics company I know of.
Then I really wish I had one of these for 3D mapping and location scanning. I could take spot into a building and have him map out the entire floor plan in 3D. That would be so cool
I wonder if the robot overlords will have a little 'thank you bostom dynamics plaque' somewhere in their castle? You know, to remember what humans were...
