One of the coolest projects I've seen come from this game, the cinematics on this series are INSANE

Finally caught up on the series - first of all, exceptional production values! As for the concept, my uneducated suggestion for the front of the ship would be to extend and join the two “claws” together - into one continuous curved plate across the front of the ship. In my head, this would look like a Roman centurion’s shield - and given that the UEE is modelled on the Roman Empire, that seems somewhat appropriate. I’ll also ask if any real world influences were considered during the concept phase - it seems like this would play a similar role to the real world U2 surveillance aircraft. Perhaps there’s some influences to be had there, in terms of cockpit design and those extendable wings for atmospheric flight. I’m also curious about the “habitable space”! I threw together a few interior redesigns for SC ships in the past, mostly trying to add habitable space to very small ships, and it’s genuinely incredible how small a space one can squeeze a bed into. Keep it up - looking forward to following the rest of the process.

Thanks a lot for the kind words! Also that is a lot of valuable feedback! I separated the front mainly for visibility, but that is something I want to explore next episode from the pilots POV - great reference though! I had a look at other real world influences, but the B2 was not on the list and I will look into it, mainly I looked at other Sci-Fi franchises though. The earliest Idea propably came from X-Wing Alliances A-Wing missions, where you had to infiltrate and survey imperials systems, and then had to get out before getting into a fight. Thanks again, ill do my best and will propably work faster come autumn/winter.

You could remove the central engines and the side ones move to center. 4 exits that big don t make sense on a small ship

You are right, I do still think about doing that, but what these do right now is that you can see on first glance that this ship is about speed and movement, and less about tanking or dealing damage - thats why I liked to have tso many

Nice! Im impressed, this looks really interesting and has some inspiring aesthetics to it, I'm interested in seeing where this goes. I'll have to go back and watch the earlier episodes.

Looking great. Conceptually it kind of gives off the vibe that it's in between the defender and terrapin in role.

Yeesh, amount of effort done for presentation is mind boggling. I'm guessing it's video tracking with overlaying stuff in 3d? Great series do far, interesting to see what it will evolve into in the future : )

You guessed correct, Nuke and Blender! Thank you - but I did this as a one-of, I usually build my own ship around here, thats why I had the VR setup on hand already.

You put so much work into your content, it's really refreshing. I missed the old days of interesting speculation and creativity around this game and you bring them back, really love the design too, the drawings are clean. How did you put the drawings into the game tho (bruteforce rotoscope) ? Anyway, I'm happy to have found your channel, I'll stick around for what you do next, cheers !

Wow thanks a lot, those are kind words! Not rotoscoping, it is all 3D tracked and composed into the game footage, sleightly less manual work but still some!

I like the video format, I'm guessing you've pulled the model and put it in a game engine at 0:18 but tracked and overlaid blender in after effects maybe at 2:50 and 8:10? Or maybe it's all tracked and overlaid, the lighting at 18 seconds is a really close match.

Thank you! I do stuff in game engine in the upcoming episode, but this is all tracked as you suggested, even 00:18 - it is all done in Nuke though, that is like after effects in professional ;)
