The night before- Maggie went away to college for the first time. Tim and Sammie secretly decided to change the lyrics on the last verse to describe Maggie traveling up I-24 to Nashville and Belmont University (majored in commercial voice performance 2 years, minored 2) Maggie with a confused look then a smile and right back to singing.

I like this song. I find the tune to be really catchy and I love Sammie's voice on it. But that lyric change is the real reason I love this song. I love the glance Sammie gives at Maggie as she starts singing "Tommow she'll be rollin down I-24, Nashville, Belmont U, 18 years in her rear view". and the embarrassed look on Maggies face as she realizes what just happened. You just get a sense that these are two girls who really like each other. And then, of course, there is the hug at the end. I have to admit that I didn't catch all that the first many times I watched this video. I probably didn't even catch the lyric change the first few times I listened to it.

one of her very best efforts IMO. something about this live gig that turned out such wonderful music from F&F. Sammy makes it all seem so effortless. sounds a bit like Nanci Griffith, which is not a bad thing. ☮❤🙏

LOL - I could have requested it and it was one of the ones I considered. I think that song really demonstrates how strong her voice is. But F&F have SO many good songs and Jeff's schedule is already full through July, all requested by donations through PayPal. He has already reviewed 21 F&F videos and there are 10 more on the schedule.

Yes, Tim says she does. You can tell they don't use auto tune if you really listen. In fact, I was listening to a song from the live performance from 2022 and just for a split second you can hear someone go slightly flat and then come right back on pitch. I'd have to listen more closely to figure out who it is, but I don't think it was Sammie.

Foxes and Fossils did an excellent cover of "Here and now" by Letters to Cleo. Worth checking out if you haven't seen it. It's probably the hardest rock song they have ever done. The girls KILL the harmonies on it. It's a GREAT cover of a really good song.
