I agree but CRPA is doing everything possible to represent Firearms owners in Commiefornia. They need membership and donations to be able to fight the battles for us. It isn't cheap and they are successful in court. The biggest thing that we as firearm users and owners can do is vote and call or email your Sacramento Reps.
They couldn’t invalidate their own trainers… stuck between a rock and hard place. The NRA Law Enforcement trainers have made so many LEO trainers. Perfect “cut off your nose to spite your face” situation.
SB2 gave the finger to the same people who trained the cops. Therefore SB2 inadvertently gave the finger to law enforcement, thus the reason for this 180. Remmeber Anthony is out of office this term (term limit) and a Republican is in the lead to replace him.
The NRA helped sponsor the Mulford Act which prohibited the carrying of loaded weapons without a permit and outlawed open carry in California. It was designed to disarm the militant Black Panthers who exercised the right lawfully. Ronald Reagan , the Governor who signed the bill, said “ there is no reason for any citizen to carry around loaded weapons”. The NRA has done more to disarm Californians than any other organization. Then, you have certified NRA instructors approved by the DOJ so that CCW Applicants can be stamped approved. They’re working with the government to disarm you and me. The Emergency Regulations kicked in on SB 2 because there’s nothing coming into the coffers. The gravy train has stopped on the tracks. What a ridiculous sick joke! Booo!

Reno for giving us the update, I lucked out I handed in my CCW paperwork the last week of December and received my CCW the first week of March here in San Luis Obispo County, I kept hearing the horror stories of the process taking almost a year here in California. I was just talking to my instructor to add another firearm and he was telling me about all the new BS from the DOJ, and that now the syllabus is a problem, and that the DOJ is not accepting them.
Live in SoCal and haven’t been following what’s going on. Bought a long gun and tried to get another gun after my 10 days and the shop told me the new rules.🙄This place sucks haha
It must be accepted that in the end states like CA will ignore all rulings because the courts, laws, and constitution do not matter to the enemy we face, only power matters to them. Until there is reciprocity in every act they take or they are actually terrified to continue their actions nothing will change.
BTW: Until the 9th is dispatched of its activist judges and out of the pockets of CA politicians, and until there are monetary and criminal consequences for composing unconstitutional law, you can forget about any change in the status quo in CA.
I've been waiting for a call for over 2 years and already paid and took the written and on range courses via my FFL. When I email the Los Angeles Sheriff's department I get the following message back "Your application has been received. You will be contacted when your file has been assigned to an investigator. We are working diligently to process all applications and they will be assigned in the order received. CCW Unit" I've gotten the same response for over Two years now!
The CADOJ looked at everything that is NOT being covered in the training and made THAT as a stipulation, thereby creating a whole new certification list. And since it was bumrushed, it caught trainer's short, = no CCW certifications could be had.
My Certified Instructor was already good. (I've gone through a few over the last decade) Now after nearly 10 years of having a CA CCW I'm going to have to spend twice as much time and probably twice as much to requalify.

Ccw certification. I was told by my local agency that there is no intent to instruct an applicant on how to shoot, the intent is during the course of fire, to demonstrate competency in handling the firearm. The classroom portion, yes is meant to educate. So DOJ certified should be called examiners not instructors. Since in my area the certification process is run by the Sheriff's dept, we are good to go.
There is a sort of a loophole for the 1 gun per 30 days. Last 2 trips to the gun shop I bought 1 pistol, 1 shotgun and 1 ar lower. So technically you can buy 3 firearms every 30 days.
I recently took my ccw renewal class in Riverside Southern California. Our class was introduced to a active local police Swat member and police gun range instructor.It was so he can sign off on certificates. The officer mention he had worked extended hours and had just got off from work and apologized for being late . So because of California Newsome and Bonta police range trainers are being asked for their valuable time to come certified law obeying citizens for a ccw permit renewal.... Sad ... commiefornia is terrible, breaking the Constitution rights

Sounds like the NRA saw there was a chance to hold a legal "monopoly" on training certs. Probably, now have to be a member to become an instructor, as well as sign up when taking the class. Or "NRA members move to the front of the line."
Nah it’s that the nra teaches the LEO instructors who train other cops. And the doj basically put themselves in a situation where they essentially said the nra instructors aren’t good for civilians. Which by default would mean they shouldn’t be enough for cops… So the doj had to accept that the nra provides education that is good enough for civilians in order to not discredit all the law enforcement officers and instructors who had to get nra certified training

I have my 03 FFL. I just need to get my COE but money is tight at the moment for me. I lost my job the end of last year, the Union is slow for work and I just dumped a bunch of money towards an attorney to appeal my CCW denial in Riverside county. Everyone is flabbergasted I was denied. I have nothing to deny me for other than them using Arbitrary rules and subjective standards. Against Bruen and Heller.. Also maybe McDonald and Caetano..🤷
@@RenoMay for sure but i just see a lot of criticism towards them from people who do not donate/go to the meetings. i think pushing them to fight the correct fights and to cut out the administrative bloat would be beneficial. but for people to just keep making fun of them or getting people to stop donating i am not sure if that is helpful. i know there are better companies that are more on task for sure but i just hope NRA can turn it around.
Look... the NRA is like "CCW Insurance"... collect the $ from those who are afraid and do little to nothing. Non-NRA lawfirms are fighting ALL CA 2A cases. And CCW insurance doesn't protect you from anything, the actual law provides that protection... like literally. NRA is a Bubba tax.

"finally?" They got us CCW in restrictive states, constitutional carry in a majority of states, fighting mag bans in states, etc. I get the criticism for Fudd board members and some policies, but we can't stop paying memberships and complaining that they "finally" did something...
NRA has always been a Bubba-tax... ya they do 'some' stuff... but collecting cash is their primary role. All of the CA, NY, IL and state level 2A stuff doesn't involve the NRA at all. As stated in this video, support the lawyers who are ACTUALLY fighting for 2A
@RenoMay Incorrect, the Bruen case was a local NRA affiliate. NRA-ILA steps in when the case is picked up, which is a smart money move. I am in NJ so I was referring to the NJ mag ban case. I don't claim the NRA is in every fight. As a lawyer I understand the cost and need for multiple orgs. But saying "finally" is unfair.
That local nra affiliate is the same as the crpa. The NRA doesn’t fund anything for the crpa for at least 5-6 years. The nra only used money for the Bruen case once the case got to scotus. The nra was more interested on suits and vacations for Wayne and his wife till the nysrpa did all the heavy lifting. The NRA has serious problems and priorities mixed up. I really wish they were the boogeyman the grabbers thought they were. They do some, but for the size they are they don’t do enough in the courts.
No matter what u do California will always win even if a case gets to the Supreme Court they just gone send it back down to repeat the same process better to just save up and move to another state atp 🤦🏾♂️

I'm the first to file the BOF1031 in Riverside County suing the Riverside County Sheriff Department for denying my CCW. I filed myself. Let me tell you The Riverside County Sheriff Department was not happy to be served. They were jerks to the person who served the notice. I come to find out not only are the issuing agencies making millions off the CCW scheme throughout California but also the trainers, Attorneys and every one else involved and my case will disrupt that whole flow of money! When I win i will expect an apology from everyone who insulted me and didn't believe in me! I'm a CRPA member and volunteer and I'm also starting a new chapter soon so I'm in the fight. Also FYI Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco kneeled to BLM and BOWED his head in prostration during a protest which after he performed that disgusting action the protesters ended up throwing a screwdriver and hitting him in the face! 😂 Look it up. It really happened. Do we need a Sheriff that panders to criminals? No self respecting Chief Law Enforcement Officer will ever bow to anything like BLM!
