The Rhythm Section has been awesome for years. Back in the early 90s you could buy bootlegs there. I picked up 3-4 Nirvana bootlegs one visit. There was a rumor that another music store in Pigeon Forge turned them into the RIAA. Next time I visited there the bootlegs were gone. Still a cool shop to this day.
The picture of sophistication: Adam and Micah chowing down on Moon Pies and RC Colas in a parking lot, lol! There’s nothing that can bring back memories more than the tastes of our youth. Enjoy your journey!
So awesome you went to the music store. I always visit there when I go. Every since the early 90’s. It’s a hidden gem for sure! Its heartbreaking to see the world of illusions being gone. I know it was pretty dated but my first memories of Gatlinburg include going there every time. It was my favorite. And I love how it never changed. I talked to a local worker there last time I was there and he was talking about how alcohol is taking over there. Getting less and less family friendly.
I can’t believe that music store is still in that mall. I went there when I was a teenager in the mid 90s and it still looks exactly the same. Thanks for the nostalgia.
I let out an audible gasp when I saw the Earthquake poster and a ride. I thought to myself, "Holy cow, could it be? Could there be a place where I get to experience the Universal attraction as it was or something?" Well. It was something. 😂
Not gonna lie I remember back in day 95 96 when Jurassic boat ride wasn't a boat ride u walked through it lol... it was down a few years then became a boat ride ... can't believe China bizarre got leveled and moved.. gonna have to check out that store with movies ... great vid bro...
The best part of having both of you, is the wealth of knowledge you both have of what you show us! That General Lee was definitely was not a screen used car because the interior is black. The actual cars had tan interiors.
Love watching you both vlogging together! My mom used to go to that moon pie store when it was a warehouse book store and buy lots of book. When I was teaching, I bought books there for my classroom!! Can't wait to go buy some moon pie stuff! 😋
I'm as southern as you can get. I've always gotten chocolate Moon pies. My butter bean friend ( from North Western Florida ) and I had stopped on the way to Panama City Florida and she got a banana flavor. O M Gosh. I had never had one. For Christmas I sent her a big box of mini nanner ones because she lives in Detroit now ( Traitor to moonlight, magnolias and moccasins! lol ) and she can't find em very often. I am so laughing at your line "I never understood why there was a gorilla in an earthquake." That's the same thing my husband said on our honeymoon. LOL LOL.
HEY ATW...IN THE ORIGINAL "ROLLERBALL" WITH JAMES CAAN, Caan's friend and Rollerball teammate was nicknamed "MOON PIE"! Just some trivia. I've never eaten a Moon Pie. My favorite RU-vidrs! ATW and World of Micah! Micah is a class act! He and his wife and their love of classic horror are so cool! He's not a buffoon like that other Florida vlogger! I love it when ATW goes to Gatlinburg! EVERYTIME, it seems like the first time! Like the very first time! (Ha! Foreigner!)
Haha love when you and Micah get together to film and we love the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. You really should join Micah and his wife in Feb at the wedding pavilion for our vow renewal if you are around it would be so much fun to have you both there. I do love the sound from the one Dino it sounds like one of the monsters from the old original Godzilla movies lol. One of my good friends from Nashville was in Gatlinburg when that building Went up in flames. The photos were sad really 😥
Nothing better than an RC Cola and a MoonPie, anytime of day! 😋 I've gotta get to Pigeon Forge and shop that place. 🤗🤗 Thanks for sharing guys, and making me hungry. LOL
Hey, I read Dolly was accepted into rock and roll hall of Fame! She said she didn't deserve to be accepted because she's not rock and roll. Guess what this fantastic lady is doin???? She's busy recording a new rock and roll album so she feels better about being inducted! Cool man ! Can't wait to hear it!
Wow, Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride has increased in cost yet again. It was $12.99 the first time I went in 2011, $14.99 in 2019, and now it’s $18.99. I still think it (and it’s sister attraction Earthquake) are worth every penny. 😂. Thanks for sharing!
Dukes of Hazzard was my favourite show as a kid. Our Art teacher told us to design a poster advertising a favourite tv show so I spent ages designing and colouring my DOH poster only to have the teacher put a cross straight through the second Z with red pen saying I had misspelled it …. I was devastated she ruined my hard work AND I had spelt the place name correctly 😢
I’m here same time as you and Micah…. And I just “wish” I could meet u guys. U guys are awesome together! You’re giving me some new ideas of things to do while we are in town! Love it!!
Born and raised in Knoxville. There used to be a cheap souvenir place closer to Sevierville that had a bear in a big pen outside. You could pay 25¢ for a Brownie drink to give him/her. She would turn it up and the bottle was empty in seconds. And in PF, there was a cheap souvenir place that had a “Hillbilly Village” out their back door complete with a no working moonshine still.
I think they would have to pay me to ride Earthquake again, but we loved the Space Needle and Ober Gatlinburg. We also rode a really good mountain coaster when we were there.
Sugar high! LOL 😂 moonpie with a piping hot beverage ☕ would be much better than soda though...🤣 Tennessee is so pretty! It's been many years since I was there.
Great video and that General lee car can be out on the streets. I lived there for 8 and a half years till recently moved to Florida. And Glenn Jacobs is mayor of Knoxville as well has been for a few years now.
Never fails to be one of my favorite videos. Pigeon Forge area. Even though I live there. You always paint it with fresh eyes. I wanna go check things out again. Thanks Woo.
I work in Pigeon Forge! Been here over a year and still haven't checked out anything in area (aside from one trip to the Island three weeks ago). I use the videos to explore without dealing with tourists lol
I loved Rhythm Section when I went in August, literally walked in and bought 340$ worth of Green Day vinyls, guy gave me a free MCR album for that too so the owner is super chill. Definitely my favorite place for music in Tennessee
Great stream. Nice time to visit. The weather is cool. Did you say moon pie? YUMMY. That boat ride was scary. Goats on the roof too funny. Dukes of Hazard a fun show to watch. Adam Great content today. A lot of information. Great Channel.
Love Gatlinburg. Went initially in the late 90s or early 2000s. I remember Laser Tag and a weird basketball game with odd angled backboards! Unfortunately those are gone :(
Again thank you for another great tour. Hope to get to that area soon. As we said in the last 2 videos 😂. Take care and looking forward to the next video. Steve and Sandee
We are going to Tennessee for the 1ST TIME EVER! For Our Anniversary! It's stressful already because we wanted to do mountian coasters and Anakeesta/Ober, maybe hiking, but it is 80% chance of Rain right off the bat!!! What the heck do we do now 😳!
go ahead and go. It rains all the time in the mountains, the showers come and go most of the time you can. In most cases you can still have plenty of fun. Don't let the rain stop you from going
I tried a Moon Pie during a previous trip to Orlando - very much like a Wagon Wheel that we have here in the UK (I like the ones with jam in them!). I'm a big fan of RC Cola but it's virtually impossible to find here in the UK. I did manage to buy a 2 litre bottle at the Walgreens on International Drive opposite Endless Summer Surfside this August during our last Orlando vacation, but alas they only had 1 bottle and didn't restock! Cool video, Adam - I hope one day I'll get to experience these things in person!
I'm earing to this day, I miss my rc cola, but come is good. I rememb r go on summer trips with my family and stopping at rest areas, at the vending machine, my parents would give us money to buy what we wanted, I always got MOON PIE AND RC COLA,
My husband J said he really enjoyed chatting with you and Micah yesterday in Gatlinburg. Always wanted to ride that funny earthquake ride:) Best Wishes, Kim
You should go to the bush bake bean factory I had no idea they was made in the mountains until we accidentally came across it and it was definitely a neat experience I do recommend
