Fun-Fact: The "Sabre Building" is also used in the (sadly now discontinued) series "The Orville". It was used in the Pilot Episode as the Epsilon Science Station on Epsilon 2
Hi I worked on the Office seasons 4 through 7. The building you featured is actually the stage that housed the warehouse set and New York set. Also the cafe disco set. The second floor was all offices for the producers and writers. The stage in the background is where the actual Office set was.
Wait question that I hope you don’t mind, what about the scenes where they look out the window,, if they look outside how does it look like your looking outside from the office
Corrections: The Sign "Scranton Bussiness Park" and the Number 1725 was not retouched, those was a decorations that is installed there. You can actually see it on Google map, back in 2011 if I'm not wrong, and the sign was there.
Oh man! Wow! Thank you for this video! I am a huge fan of The Office (I lost count how many times I watched all seasons - my favorite tv show). Only who is fan can explain the feeling when we see these filming locations. I hope to visit these places one day. THANKS MAN!
Matthias, what a great surprise this video. I'm obsessed with film location videos. Thank you for showing your trip for us. One day I hope to go to Dunder Mifflin's building. A hello from Brazil :)
interesting the main inside office scenes were filmed in a studio ab 15 min walk away, but the warehouse, lobby, outside shot and outside scenes were filmed here. Heard this on the office ladies podcast.
If you look at the Google Street View of this location in 2011, the studio sign has been taken down and the Scranton Business Park sign is up, along with the 1725 street number.
The Office (US); and the UK version for that matter, are both timeless shows. I believe I'll be watching The Office for the rest of my life. Hell, I will probably even ask my nurse to play it while I'm on my deathbed. I put The Office on at night and it feels like I've been injected with a good antidepressant. I truly go to bed happier and wake up happier when I'm taking my nightly dose of The Office.
thought for sure you'd go to the lake where they did the fire walk and such. It looked so southern california to a native it was funny to watch and think they were in tree filled Pennsylvania :)
"Actually" you're not 100% correct about NONE OF THE FILMING WAS DON'T IN PA. While waiting to start filming John Krasinski went to Scranton, PA and just so happened filmed some footage of Scranton, the welcome sign, etc. The company liked the footage so much they paid John $1000 for the shots and used it for every opening of the show.
Wow, I went a couple of years ago, and it was horrible. That whole dead street had homeless tents, and RV's and a couple of piles of garbage on the sidewalk. I wasn't going to get out of my car. I'm glad they cleaned it up, maybe worth a visit again and be able to get out of my car.
