Id also like to say, that some of that 90s stuff is the shit to jam to. RHCP's Blood sugar sex magick all the way. Chad is one of my all time biggest influences. Funky as a FREAK yo lol. there are some seriously fun tracks to jam to on that album. Pearl Jam's TEN album, same there, and just pick any soundgarden album; Being a fellow drummer, Like Suicide" off Superunkown is DOPE to play, and you my man will love it ;) Just wait for the drop. literally gives my neurodivergent brain the chills. Cheers from Canada eh!

I agree! There are tons of awesome 90s songs to play, sometimes it’s hard to choose what to spend the time practicing, recording, etc. I will definitely check out some of those suggestions, I’m always interested in learning new songs!

Sweet cover my dude! Quite the fancy kit ya got there eh. How bouncy do you find that mesh snare vs say a standard remo coated or even pinstripe style head on a traditional acoustic kit? That weird change in feel between my acoustics and my Dtx pads (yamaha) is really off putting for me. They are the rubber style pads from the last ice age I would assume. Thank you, I appreciate that! The mesh head is pretty bouncy, but my main issue is that it’s slippery. So, when playing ghost notes or a fast roll the tip of the stick doesn’t grip the head and kind of slips a bit. The transition between the mesh head and the other Yamaha pads was weird at first, but I’ve gotten used to it I guess 😄. I used to have the rubber pads (TP120) and they are a lot harder compared to the silicone pads that I have now, so I can see that being uncomfortable mixing them with an acoustic kit.
