Heard this as a teenager and am in my 30's now. It is crazy what happens to the people you know as you're getting older.

Every time I hear this song I can’t help but think of all the people from the past

I am not even out of high school yet, but this song hits me because i know i am going to feel this shit. I've heard stories from my parents about people in town and how people have grown up. Prison, drugs, crime, death, etc. People went from innocent kids and normal teenagers to crackheads and criminals. One day all of this around me is going to fade, i am going to be supporting myself and getting around in this world alone. I always take this time for granted and wish it away, but i probably ahouldn't.

@@beurteilung713 I've seen people with these outcomes too. Hang in there and stay positive and above it all. Don't give in to the temptations, they never pay off!

I like Offspring because it's easy to listen to in a hard way, a song doesn't need to be super technical with 1000 notes per minute, a punchy riff with a melodical rock solo and a strong voice goes along way.

This song was from 1998/1999, it's only 20 years old. But I remember generally in my late teens, The Offspring was the only thing that gave me a voice of my own, and gave me courage.

Song from their album Americana released in 1998. The Offspring always entertain. Fantastic pumped up song with a great, but sad statement! Love your explanation of the song's meaning! Thank you!

Please react to Kristy Are You Doing Okay? Another great, poignant song that's often overlooked.

What a great song from my childhood and great afterthoughts. Best channel on this platform. I learn by listening to you guys. What a great quote on politics today. Looking busy, doing nothing

Try Jennifer Lost The War by The Offspring ;) One of their oldest song, lyrics are hard, much more punkier. Have fun !

My only criticism of the song is that it could be longer. They could have had another section talking about how more people's lives ended up.

But the average American still lives better than most people in terms of money. 3rd in the world in after tax salary, after Switzerland and Luxembourg. But the 1% in the US are so much richer than anyone else in the world true

I'm sorry but you are missing the one thing that is keeping you back more than any other thing. The state. Stop listening to the government and institute a government thast promises freedom. You deserve it.
