Funny timing on this video-- I'm not a 7 figure entrepreneur, but I figured out a way to finally get my BB passport and it was largely because of this channel. Big shout-out to Andrew to planting the seed and providing the knowledge for me to go ahead with this endeavor. Just wish I had done it 15 years ago 🛫

I wish more corporations and businesses would hire remotely to live anywhere overseas for regular working people. I really would like to earn a good salary while living outside of the United States. America became such a unsafe place to live and the high cost of living became unaffordable for regular working people.
Classic US federal government, treating citizens as property. It's hard for Americans to understand that it's worse for them than for Europeans. At the end of WW2, it picked up some of the worst behaviors of just vanquished enemies as well as brand new enemies. For him, it was the 90s, but it got worse than bureaucratic paper shuffling later, didn't it? Especially the more assets and/or in come a person has?
Picked after WWII? I would think reading american history, that Europe was far behind in learning in that compartment. Slavery, women rights? When exactly did you say usa learnt how to treat its citizens as property?
@@Dexterosa Ah, an Englishman. So, you think Europe was behind on the slavery thing? Are you illiterate? Or do you just believe whatever your illiterate teachers told you? If it had not already begun before, the US federal government began behaving like the communists, like the fascists around the time of the war or just after. You know, victors do more than write the history.
I'm considering doing it myself. I've lived in Europe for almost 20yrs and have citizenship. I have no intention of ever moving back. Having to file taxes in a country that I haven't lived in for two decades is stupid and expensive. I have healthcare for virtually free and can see a doctor the same day. And medication is very cheap. And no gun violence. I'm very happy. I have an online webcam meeting with a lawyer to ask questions. So, will see. I might become an exAmerican too.

Great video. I too am an “Ayn Randian” from the 80s … I wish I had the foresight to leave the US when I was younger, but back then I loved and believed in the US. My eyes were opened after serving in the Marines and working for the DTRA. Now it’s very difficult to leave when my wife and kids drink the US Koolaid. However, it’s still my dream to renounce … am pretty much disgusted with the corrupt and degenerate USA.

@yeboscrebo4451 no trust me its 100% owned you can resell it build a house or whatever but of course in Building you have to fellow the city code for example its prohibited to build next to the river or the sea even if you 100% own the land but you can do as the code for example create a farm in living areas you can build what you want, i know you're surprised westerners always get surprised that we dont have housing taxes and i forgot to tell you we dont have home insurance no body do it there's a minority who buy it most of who do are rich people who lived in the west they come up with that
That Mozambique passport story was great; having to pretend he's from Maputo with an American accent 😂... Thanks Vincent and Andrew for this, it was definitely interesting. Anguilla is one of several British Overseas Territories in the Caribbean.
Anguilla is a British territory so to become a citizen you would effectively be applying for British overseas territories temporary citizenship. I have looking into Anguilla as well and so far it looks like a very attractive place to set up a business.
I have 3 passports, one of them I cannot renounce even if I tried, there's actually no provision to do it. I live in Spain now and I'm not really bothered by not being able to renounce the other citizenship, except when I see people have trouble renouncing their citizenship. I'm going to move to Estonia next year, and hopefully stop paying weird taxes with obscure rules.

@@cadburybubblegum Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym adopted by the creator of Bitcoin. They have not communicated with the world in over a decade and nobody knows who they are. But speculations are rife and it would be funny if he has been chilling in Anguilla all this time.
very interesting video. I'm also a software engineer from the US maybe thinking of working on some web3/ crypto related business, and there are definitely reasons in this space to incorporate/ do business in a foreign country.

When you are a citizen of a country, be it any country, you are that country's LIVESTOCK. Try to look at 'countries' as plantations. They have an owner. The people, animals, resources, etc. that exist on that piece of land, belong to the owner of that land. Look at the UK monarchs, as an example. Their ancestors created wars, with a little help from the money people at the time. Which BTW, still exist today, and more powerful than ever. The UK empire had taken land by force and turned it into colonies. Colonies where some bonafide 'plantations' existed and still exist to this day. Canada, by associaiton and within the web of "Dominion" exists as another property of the UK monarchs. Unless the paperwork that says so is destroyed and declared to be under new management. The term 'citizen' can be used interchangably with the term 'livestock'. Citizen just sounds better.
Anguilla is beyond fantastic! But more expensive than the US. I would love to see the break down but from my experience taxes are higher in Anguilla than the US.

I understand the benefits of following all the laws. But some of us are desperate to leave for reasons I can't type here. Making average income, it's tough to do things by the book. Sometimes one must leave by any means

Citizenship can be seen as a social contract, suggesting voluntary participation. However, renouncing it involves complex legal and financial steps, making it not as straightforward as opting out of a typical contract.
I was born in Anguilla and own a home there. I was just there a couple weeks ago. I have 4 passports, all by birthright. I only keep 3 of them current anymore though.
By birth right? A person is only born in one place! Do you mean through ancestry ? Even with ancestry that would mean that your parents or grandparents had dual citizenship???
I listened all the way through this but never found Vincent properly introduced. My first thought about the title, referring to the OG of citizenship renunciation, is that he cannot possibly be, as Garry Davis did that at the end of the Second World War, and I’m pretty sure he’s not around anymore! I did want to find his surname though, being interested in whatever cryptography he has worked on.
Thank you for your comment! As mentioned in the introduction, our guest's last name is Vincent Cate. If you're interested in his work on cryptography, you might want to explore more about his contributions in that field. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions!
he mentioned he was in Mozambique in the 90s i think that there were probably like 10 computers in the entire country back then lol .but nowadays even there you got a lot of people with internet access but in the 90s you only had rich countries online .you had these maps of global internet activity and Africa and most of Asia was just a big hole of nothing. but south America and the Caribbean and eastern Europe got online quite early too
If it were really easy, a lot of people would renounce after a long drink fueled willing streak in vegas, then have problems abroad, change their minds, and threaten to sue.
Renouncing US citizenship is certainly an audacious and seismic decision to make. However, if you have the pluck to do that, you might scrimp and save lots of money for future purposes just because of these nations being tax havens.
You might not only benefit from financial savings in tax-friendly nations but also find relief from other issues you perceive as wrong in the US. Your motivation might extend beyond better finances. Check out why Mr Henderson renounced: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UYjooV1eadw.html
You don’t need to leave if you renounce. At the end of the day, the Government cannot deport or exile you. You were born on the land. You can leave if you want..sure.
I’m about to renounce my citizenship and then file for US government aid at the tune of $20,000 and free medical benefits for my whole family a month since I will then be an immigrant
If you are born in cuba you can not renounce us citizen, so even though i did not grow uo there, a forgnor in cuba woukd have more rights than i who never lived there was just born and brought to thr us.
My brother gave up his citizenship 5 years ago w no problem. My dad had mailed in his passport doing the same back in the 90s. Both were easy processes- I think this guy going to get a passport through a shady internet place probably contributed to his difficulty in getting rid of his American citizenship.
If I renounced my American citizenship, can I then declare myself an undocumented migrant and get all of the free stuff currently being given in exchange for future votes?
I joke about this all the time...but I would really enjoy a long stay in a 4 star hotel in NYC fully funded by the taxpayer. Would be nice to be on the other side for a change.
Unfortunately for me if I renounced my US citizenship I loose my military retirement and benefits I can still get social security as a nonresident but would still pay taxes at 30% So my question involves voting rights As a US citizen if I don’t have a US address can I still vote?
Last I checked vote by mail is bigger than ever in the USA. Lots of voter fraud. So yes you can vote as a US citizen when you live abroad. As for the process that's going to depend on which nation you are living in.
As far as I know you can vote as a US citizen at your embassy overseas. I’m a Spanish citizen living in the US and I just voted at the Spain embassy a month ago
@animal9370 LOL that's a good joke. As long as those people are abroad and earning well (or earned well) and have naturalized where they live, their medical and care expenses will be significantly lower than they would be in the US, not to mention the level of care will be much better abroad. Please put down the kool-aid and look at the costs. Even full-fee paying in Europe or Malaysia is a fraction the cost when compared to the USA be it medical or high-level (luxury) aged care.
animal9370 must be joking if your not a politician or celebrity in the usa you are not getting the same healtcare. There a reasons why the rich dont use the same helathcare as normal people. a man was recently left to perish because he couldnt get service quick enough
Since the U.S. is ranked around #30 in healthcare worldwide, most people would want to be in the top 29 instead. And the U.S. only holds that rank because of it's higher education. It is great if you want to be a doctor, but worse if you are a patient.
Lies. Several nations have vastly superior healthcare to the USA. Most people would in fact be far better off in any nation in the EU when it comes to healthcare, because most people cannot afford their health insurance in old age...and medicare/medicaid sucks.
@@humpteedumptee8629 being that most "stuff" in the US come from China, I can't imagine the US being exclusive to one thing. Maybe killer food. There, I named one.🤭
Why give up your citizenship? You can work in most countries with a resident visa. Us foriegn income tax only above $100,000. Just pay yourself less money, reinvest the money in your businesses. I'd be fine with just 100k.
Because people don't want to have to waste time and money filing taxes and forms to a place they no longer live. Even below the threshold, the reporting of assets and filing of taxes is still mandatory, not to mention that many countries won't give a US citizen a bank account as they don't want the headache that causes them. Also depending on what you do, ITAR will prohibit US citizens from doing many things abroad and also prohibit you from selling those things outside the USA, even though people from the rest of the world are free to do so in many cases. ITAR is board and all encompassing - it covers many things that most people wouldn't even think it covers.
I don't get it. The US citizenship is maybe the most valued in the world. People outside US would give anything to get it. You were lucky enough to be born with it, you used it to become a millionaire, yet later you are too greedy to give anything back so you say screw this country and leave. It's the ultimate sign of disrespect to your country and others.
