Are the Oklahoma City Thunder the most underrated contender in recent NBA history? I mean... the bookmakers say the Los Angeles Lakers, ranked 10th in the West, are more likely to win the ring at the end of the season than the Oklahoma City Thunder, who now have the second-best record in the entire conference. That is despite the Lakers being a full 8 positions behind the Thunder in one of the most complicated conferences in a long time.
And don't get me wrong. Bookmakers don't usually make mistakes. Otherwise... they wouldn't make money. But the reality is that the experience factor, which is often overlooked, may be somewhat overvalued on this occasion. And in this upside-down world that is today's NBA .... there is plenty of room for surprises.

@@JetHoops He’s just turned 21yo. Somebody is going to pay him but I do believe it’s better for him to move on from OKC. The coach has changed his role to be #3/4 in handling the ball which has dramatically effected his game.

The playoff format is not the same as the regular season format obviously. 2 teams play each other out until whoever gets the win #4. Which team can find a better match up and tweak better has a better chance and psychologically the feeling of intimidation or being intimidated is going to play the big role particularly to those with no playoffs experience.

Bookmakers aren’t picking games or finishes, they are trying to pick what the “betting public” thinks. They are setting lines to get 50 percent betting on each side. That is how they set the line!

They won Denver Boston Miami n Portland trail blazers they blowing up them. Timberwolves loss yesterday n OKC is the championship this year you have 3 players that looks like other players, I mean like Shai look like kobe n Jalen look like James harden n chet is playing like Kevin Durant. That why is so amazing team. Like I say Kevin Durant James harden n Kobe the Lakers might won 7 championship. This the way I see it. About OKC. They have 3 good players. About josh dort joe Jaylin era good back up they era 4 players that protect the 3 players n that why they win . Shai make 32 point n Jalen make 24 n chet make 18 n the back up make dort 14 josh 13 joe 12 Jaylin 9 n other players the second back up Mann dieng waters wallace make 5 or 8 the team have a great player group. I hope they win the championship.

the nuggets depht is a non issue just as it was last year. The reason our bench is ass (as it was last year), is because we run 4 or 5 man bench lineups. but when we shorten our rotation, and suddenly we have at MOST 3 bench players on the floor at any given time, our bench 0suddenly looks great (as it did last post season). this year our bench is statistically better than it was last year, largely in part because Peyton Watson is a GEM

I feel like okc plays with an energy that’s very hard to match. If they keep this up throughout the next 3-4 months anything is possible . I think they need to play better on the road though and get another legit centre for rebounding and physicality

Ive said it before and ill say it again The thunder have so many options to score and teams are afraid of it U guard sga then he will pass it to (including the bench) 6 different players who can score at will from all parts of the floor They have a centre who can do who the hells know what because he is a beast And they are doing all this with giddey being way down on his usual level. And like this man said take jay wil in to account. Look out. Also again dort is 1 of the best defenders in the game bar none

@tadaskalanta9733 dude I hear u with shai delusion 100% but for me from the point I'm making is that even with the lack of experience is that maybe yes "maybe" they will go far because every team they play against is so heavily shai focused and like I said they have so many options outside of him if he gets shut down there is multiple back ups. Even someone like giddey who has had a shit house year can pop up with a 20+ game multiple times. Maybe I didn't say it correctly the last time but what I was trying to say is teams focus on the one man but the team they r playing is extremely unselfish and can still win with that one man not dominating

it’s impossible to fully guard them unless you can physically bully and intimidate them, that’s why we struggled against Embiid and that’s why we struggle against the lakers with AD and Bron.

The Thunder have recently beat Minnesota twice, Denver on the road and Boston who are all title contenders and they now are 1 game out of 1st place in the Western conference. What also needs to be taken into account is that Giddey has been mercilessly booed on the road all season because of the bullshit allegations against him and that situation is now over so his play should improve. You give OKC another 40 games to keep improving you had better believe they can win it all this year.

Great vid except you grossly under rate Giddy. Search footage of the coach, he stated Giddy is their QB. He unselfishly makes the players around him better. Giddey's vision and BB IQ is elite. The other intangible about Giddey is his work ethic and his support network. If he stays healthy he will have a terrific career in the NBA.

Lookout for my Spurs too… another small market team with just as much draft picks as the Thunder. OKC can be a force to reckon with for years to come but the Spurs are rebuilding too. Once the Spurs organization build around Wemby, they can be the roadblock to the Thunder in the playoffs.

How is it a "blemish"? An underage girl snuck into an 18 to enter club and Giddey was 19 at the time he met her. Nothing came out of it because there was never anything to begin with.
