Love to see you so early! While this is not the most polished show ever (for obvious reasons) some of these vocals are quite sensational! Not to mention, Mariah clearly had a blast! Wish she could keep this attitude more often, you know without the help😉

It makes me wonder if the art of singing is still her passion or if it has mainly become songwriting and making the big 💰 Because there are some legendary, iconic and impactful vocalists out there who also achieved immense success but appear to still prioritize their voices eg. Barbra Streisand, Celine, Beyonce, Christina A etc.

People fail to realize that her technique never left, in fact its very much like the technique she used in the 90s. Unfortunately she can’t always get to show that technique due to how bad her nodules are now.

Funny how people still, at 2023, never understood one simple thing: Mariah Carey never had any specific vocal technique to begin with. She was always singing like she used to and, what's even more important, STILL does the same exact thing she was doing always. Why is her voice so different then? Easy: it got damaged and same technique, she used in the 90s, isn't working anymore and only getting worse cause, frankly speaking, it's a vicious circle: Technique, which is not sustainable = voice gets damaged over time = Mariah needs to push herself even more to achieve same results = technique, which is not sustainable = voice getting even more damaged. Rinse and repeat That's basically what happened with Mariah's voice, technique isn't something you can magically lose over time, that's not how muscle memory works. If you can ride a bicycle - you won't ever forget how to do it. Evere person on Earth couldn't speak their native language or walk until they learned how to do it. Voice and vocal technique works exactly the same, if it's wrong/unhealthy/damaging - it WILL show eventually

At least half of the things you mentioned aren't true, cause you don't know Mariah's schedule or the way she lives, you're just imagining things Also that "she can't remove nodules cause it will affect her whistle register" is complete and utter bs, I don't have nodules and I can whistle consistently without any problems within E6-Bb6 range, sometimes up to C7, all recorded, how nodules are even related to producing whistle register, think with your own head, don't just copypaste other people's words and just try to search for an actual scientific paper or something about this topic and you won't find any proven correlation, at this moment it's just a myth, stereotype, cause I don't know any other person with nodules, who could've whistle just the same way Mariah does = it's NOT the nodules, which gave Mariah the access to whistle register. 99% that she would be able to whistle without them About menopause - yes, it's the real thing, that women around this age has their voice changed, but I'm 100% sure Mariah is pretty disciplined over aging issues and I'm pretty sure she takes everything she needs in order to keep this process much less of annoyance it usually becomes Saying that she doesn't have control over things in her life = making even more excuses, which I think is intolerable at this point. Rich people don't have it all figured out and just because YOU can whistle up there without nodules doesn't mean she can if she gets her nodules removed. Everyone's voice is DIFFERENT, also if YOU would do YOUR own research instead of copying someone other people's words you would know that: It's (the surgery) rarely performed and could result in Carey losing her ability to use her high notes effect or even worse - it could result in permanent damage to her vocal chords, leaving Mariah unable to sing for the rest of her life.

She CAN still sing fully live if she didn't rely on those prerecorded tracks. Period. She needs to challenge herself to take more risks and also to take better care of her voice. Well the difference is it’s not immediately harsh like tobacco so you have people who smoke chronically and their voices aren’t affected (Kehlani, Jhene Aiko) and given the right strain it can relax the mind and nerves. Sometimes it dries my throat out but with some water I’m singing like I’m at church
