And I thought the first Two Worlds was bad, but boy was I wrong, because the second one is a whole lot worse. Check out my social pages! TWITTER: / thecantinach FACEBOOk: thecantinach...
A scary-looking, horned daemon-lady that turns into a dragon? Hmm, this sounds strangely familiar. Almost as if I saw it before, in some animated Disney movie, perhaps... Nah, I must be imagining things.
This game wasn't that bad for fuck sake what's wrong with you people. It wasn't some AAA title made by Rockstar or some shit but by some german boys with budget of 25$ and sausage what you expected?
yeah but you insinuated that the game was awful because you and your coworker don't talk much anymore after he suggested you play Two Worlds. If you really didn't mean to shit on the game, then you wouldn't have commented that.
Playing through the first Two Worlds (Epic Edition) right now and have the second one with the latest DLC (Shattered Embrace) installed as well. I REALLY enjoy these games. Even the manuals, the maps, the lorebooks. The devs put a lot of work into shaping Antaloor into an awesome game world. Also, Two Worlds 3 is in the making as we speak, so that's awesome as well.
But you missed the most incredible thing of two worlds 2! The magic system! It's like the spell crafting of Oblivion but... well, without being like Oblivion at all
its pretty garbage imo. There's a couple really neat effects here and there, mostly the physics based ones, but the vast majority of it is the same boring garbage. And good god the visual effects for spells are horrible. The AoE VFs don't even scale to show the actual area of effect!
@@elowin1691 I respect but definitely disagree. Im also quite confused. You complimented the game's sophisticated approach to spell crafting yet relegate it to the term, "garbage," simply because you found the rest of the game to be unenjoyable? The physical limitations of thier graphics is definitely the easiest aspect to criticize. However to assume something is garbage for such trivial reasons seems unjustified especially since the original comment praised only the crafting aspect of the game's spells and nothing else.
I think the Two World's games are cursed because both times I tried making a video on one of them I got horribly sick and had to push it off for a week. And today my power went out right before it was supposed to go up so... CURSED!
I actually really enjoy both of them, for the first 20 min of gameplay. They feel like those not-old-enough games and for some reason have better juice than most of the new games, like spyro reignited. But spyro still is a better game ).
We've got Piranha Bytes and Spiders with their mechanically old-fashioned games that still draw a passionate community due to their world-building. And we've got Reality Pump which...well, the magic card system was interesting.
I like the concept of the Two Worlds franchise. But even I have to admit that the games are bad. I do like the second one more than the first though. And they're seriously making a third one?? Why??
From what I know, the first one sold itself as an oblivion killer and the trailer looked pretty good, maybe "what-game-to-buy" words spread less back then.
First one was garbage. Second was actually decent but I hear most of their developers have left now. Also they added in microtransactions to TWII last year, so you can only imagine what they'll do with the third one.
Two worlds the first game combat was OP for mages. Multiplayer was never a thing for sword class players. Multiplayer for Two Worlds 2 was alright, yet much more enjoyable than the first. Mainly because you can build your own village. I hope the third installment continues the village concept in multiplayer.
I am one of the few that genuinely liked Two Worlds. That said, it was mostly for two reasons: Firstly, the multiplayer - Especially on the console side of things and especially during the time it was out, there really wasn't anything comparable unless you wanted to pay a monthly fee. Second, the fact that you could endlessly upgrade your character to the point where you could essentially break the game - I'm always a fan of that sort of thing because when that's present you always end up more powerful after you're done playing than you were when you started playing, and that's pretty great, in my book. It really could've used more polish, especially since the framerate was utter shit, but I think it's very underrated, although with the online being dead, assuming it still even works, I can see why people wouldn't recognize how that could really improve the gameplay experience...
Ah yes I too remember grinding endlessly in the graveyard using modded spells that shot out a billion projectiles that ricochet and dealed 2e+32 damage each on console
Same. The online makes up most of own experiences, but even the story was a improvement. I didnt finish it, but I got much further than I did in the original.
the more gameplay im seeing in this video the more I actually want to get it and play it, your not dissuading me from playing a shit RPG, your actually convincing me to checkout a good one
An amazing magic system and great exploration. And I guess you never figured out that you could travel around gates and explore an open world... even when you're not supposed to be able to. This game is broken in some ways but great in so many others! Looks like you should never play Gothic or any other Euro-jank RPGs.
You wanna do a gothic 3 vid? Did you play it in the first place? (I presume, because you played oblivion and two worlds - all 3 were released really next to each other)
Some sidequests in the first one were really good and the gamemechanics, but the rest is crap. I personally liked the quest in the fishervillage to get the 2 lovebirds together. Better than the mainquest.
I love old school RPG i was trying to find a game similar to Gothic Series(imo best games ever made) and i found your channel thanks for the info about Two Worlds the review is so funny hahahahaha.
great video, but i have to admit Two Worlds 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. played it on my PS3 and basically did every single side quests and explored every inch of the map. The only issue i had was that i could never really figure out the magic system, in either TW or TW2 so had to play as a sort of hack and slash warrior. The story was nonsense but the way the game is broken down into chapters set in different areas and of different lengths was refreshing.Underrated i would say, certainly not the worst game ever
Would appreciate it if you could play Gothic 1-3. They're my favourite games off all time. Besides the graphics and animations the game is still in standards of our days which is estonishing because they came out from 2001-2006. The problem is that it's pretty bugged with newer computers so you need a patch for Gothic 1 and 2. Gothic 3 is hardly playable without some community patches so download them to. I would love to see a review like Two Worlds about Gothic.
You've played Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect, Knights of the old republic, Deus Ex, Dark Souls and I could go on with a hundred games that are fucking amazing, and Gothic is your favorite?
I got two worlds 2 at gamestop for like 1.19 for the ps3. I played 2 minutes before I got nauseous from the motion blur that you cant turn off and the fact that the frames kept dropping because of high amount of motion blur
Hey man. Have you considered playing Nehrim? It's a stand alone mod for Oblivion I enjoyed a lot. There's also Enderal, but that one isn't as nice. Cheers
Worse? How could it be worse? Not watching the video yet as I've not played the game, spoilers and all. But everything I've heard is that Two Worlds 2 is an improvement in every way over the terrible first game.
@the cantina, u dont know this, but iv done it,u can simply ignore or skip the first act of the game, by simply getting "walking on water" potions, climbing on the gianl stone wall of the 1st island, and then running on water to the second, it simply unlocks u the 2nd act with the 1st mission of it, try it urself, and please see this :( @the cantina
My favorite bit of dialogue in Two Worlds 2 was if you talk to this one guard, he tells you about these murders that have been going on, he randomly blurts out "Yesterday was the third".
two worlds 2 multiplayer was really fun. you got to go on a campaign with 7 other people and complete different areas of the map. PvP was extremely fun too. 1v1 was my favorite.
I love both two worlds so damn much, but honestly, we need a third one. With the technology we got now, I guarantee it can be a very good game as we've improved after years :D
By uniform I think she meant that fire will, given enough energy, convert everything into fire (heat energy). In contrast, water, for example, won't convert anything submerged into it into more water nor the ability to make more water.
The third one is coming in 2019 so prepare people I hope it will be good I really do hope it won't destroy my childhood They had a long brake so maybe they thought things trough and in 2016 they started making the game
For the sake of good old 2006 Nostalgia I will try out both TW1 and TW2 💪 Yes I have been spoiled by Gothic 3 and Oblivion but hey, gotta expand ones horizon, right? 🙏
Perhaps they need to implement a new control scheme - when you press a button the game randomly: sprints/somersaults/casts self-immolate/saves your game overwriting all previous saves/opens facebook in your browser
This was one of the only games I had when i first got a PS3 when I was about 14, and I spent most of my time in the Village mode just hanging out with villagers and playing the horrible broken Multiplayer just go fund my village. I loved it back then. It may be a horrible game but for this guy, it was a hangout destination for more of my lonely development years :(
I had Two Worlds 2. I'd enjoyed the first game, so I figured I'd give the sequel a try. But I knew I was off to a bad start when I tried my best to make a decent-looking character and the best I could get was something that looked like Michael Jackson a week before his death. And then I found that the entire game world was about 10% of the world size from the original.... got to a small island with a savannah on it... got immediately bored and quit.
I actually liked Two Worlds 2....but there was a certain point in the game where is just kept having problems and it was too annoying to keep playing. I did play on Mac with a trackpad and controls were fine for me...maybe the game hates the mouse lol. I also played as an archer. Never had a problem with the sneak and sprint.
I remember playing this game, hating/loving it to the point where I got so sick of the fucking quests and boring story that I cheated to get to the end. Got stuck in that crypt boss fight for days on end because there were no autosaves prior to entering the crypt. I cheated to get there so I was so low level I ended up relying on a glitch where the boss got stuck on a random asset. I used a weak fire spell on him for what felt like hours until he was finally dead, cheated some more and ran past all the enemies unless they were crucial and had to be killed. Then finally beat the shitty game, the game? Terrible, cheating and using exploits? Incredible.
The Cantina I think all 3 are great. But Origins is just amazing. The characters are great and the story is very traditional fantasy. 2 is great, purely for sassy Hawke.
I don't totally agree with you on this one. Maybe the game was crappy but I kinda liked it, it has two positive things: - the magic system is actually very good, one of the best, no joke. - the expansion Pirates of the Flying Fortress was also very good.
Strong disagree on the magic system. I played this game because I heard I could summon a storm and anvils, and fling them about with a tornado. At high level, this cannot even kill early enemies. Who the hell thought magic anvil tornado shouldn't be able to kill a hyena or whatever it was? In the hands of someone competent that system would be really cool.
I disagree with what you say, the game is very entertaining and has several interesting elements such as crafting, breaking into houses and being chased by the guards haha
@@TheCantinaChannel Two Worlds 2 has the best magic system of any rpg ever. I mean you can craft your own spells in this game what's not to like about that? This game may be a bit clunky but it is much better than you give it credit for. Sry, but this review is terrible.
The sister character birthing a god and the main villain is a woman who looks like Dahlia Gillespie and you fight a winged demon at the end? Nothing to see there. Totally wasn't inspired by Silent Hill. 👀
This is worst rpg?! lol 1) What this song reminds You: " Almost broken, west virginia, disappearing mountains, missing texture rivers, bugs are old here, older then skyrim, Younger then bethesta, built in creation engine." 2) Might and magic 9/10.. just thinking bout these 2.. makes me really want to kill someone... 3) Hellgate tokyo steam version - first of all they took what used to be mmorpg, removed multiplayer but forget to decrease korean mmo grind... 1fps bug that makes it near unplayable and that's only tip of the bugberg. 4) Elex - not only is story very long and not very good... but they messed up programming Ai.. they got A part but completely forget i... so You can kill level 20+ mobs (who could/should kill You 1 hit) as level 2-3... Its not even hard to do that, bit annoying maybe, lol. But to be honest, i have both 2 world games... for years.. and I never even managed to get in... every time i install theme (tried on multiple different pc-s, they always find new fun error why not to start) XD
The development of Two Worlds 3 will probably end up having a more interesting story than the actual game. It was meant to come out two years ago and is now due next year at the very earliest. Also the studio went bankrupt.
I love “Two Worlds II” and the Add-on “Pirates of the Flying Fortress” (played it on PS3). For me, it’s one of the games I love the most. Interesting how different tastes are… ☺️😊🙃
