New testament was written from AD 52 onwards to AD 90s which is about Jesus and his mission. Old testament is from Jewish scriptures which dates back to 1200BC. And from Dead sea scrolls that dates back to this period. Christianity branched off from Jewish religion in AD 33. Please check your facts before posting incorrect statements. What it does however is tell the events that happened in history, as and the manner in which it happened.
