A visit to the Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire In Irwindale California for their 2019 event Jordan’s Channel / dazewithjordanthelion Help Fuel The Woo / adamthewoo
@@karenkozak2068 why even comment with your made up bullshit. Think first It was invented by the Natives Americans with their tomahawks and even the first indoor one was in Canada. Calabasas what did kim kardashian start it ?
Ah the charm and tranquility of the Renee-sance fair. The name "Pleasure Fair" made me think this was going to a little spicier than it turned out to be. Thanks Adam the Woo, see you at DragonCon this year!!
This is great it looks so fun gets me excited for my first time attending once the plague ends here in Southern California. Excited to attend with my fellow wizard and get in character!
It sure has changed in the years since I've been last. There was nothing there that wasnt a part of the time period. Now they have zip lines and all kinds of stuff. It was about total submersion of the time period while you were there which is why the lady pretended not to know about refrigeration and bacteria. That's how everyone used to be there then and it was more family friendly as well. Now it seems to cater to adults more.
Yes, and not nearly as crowded as it use to be although some may say that's a "good" thing...I miss the crowds, it was fun to just sit and people watch! The Agoura Hills location was the best...Ah the good old days!!!
The actors are still like that! But I agree when I went about 12 years ago (im 21 now) they didn't have ziplines but the past few times I've gone they had ziplines!
What a fun fair! So glad you brought us along :-) and Jordan too. The food did looked tasty, I think I might have to try my hand at making the meat pie. Thanks for sharing.
Adam the Woo...I am stuck home in bed with a nasty cold & I am binging your videos. Just picking them at random from start to today. U sir, are a welcome bright light, not only to my dark cold hours, but to this world. God bless.
Some really nice airbrushed makeups at the beginning and appears to be even more costumed performers than last year. Great vid, super fun! For a second, I thought you might leap on stage and join the jugglers!
I thought The Washing Well Wenches were only at the Minnesota Renaissance but it looks like that show must be franchised all over the country. I think Super Enthused featured them in Florida as well. Fun video today Adam!
I’ve been going almost every year for my birthday in early May. I hate that I couldn’t go this year because of our new plague, corona. I miss the fair so much :(
My earliest memories was going to the Ren Faire in San Francisco many years ago. I believe a similar faire still runs in South Lake Tahoe in June every year. Thanks for sharing this
...nice job Adam ...Ren folk have the Trekie , Star Wars , Horror , Cos-play Comic Con kids beat by a mile ..what the heck ...Pork Chop on a stick , Turkey Legs ...and Beef ribs ( which I enjoyed in 1975 in SF ) and Jordan with the horns in a KISS t-shirt ...awesome ..glad you two became friends last year ...
Went to this eons ago. They had a kissing booth filled with comely wenches. Somehow I managed to hit the wild card wench and got to kiss all of them. Good times.
NOOOOOO Shepherd's Pie is LAMB.... hence the name Shepherd..... Cottage Pie is made of beef..... if they are selling Shepherd's Pie with beef.... that is false advertising!!!! It looked good though!
You should have gotten one of those multipurpose rat snacks. They probably would make for a good camera holder and thief deterrent. Fun stuff. I love the anything goes attitude.
I went to the RPF eons ago I believe it was still in Agoura, and I hadn't been to it since. It sure has changed. A little more colorful that's for sure. I liked that spectacle of the people inside the balls. Fun Times.
Thank you Woo for doing this one. My hubby and I have always wanted to go to a Renaissance Fair and being there with you it was like almost being there. Loved Sparrow and Zorro 😁❣️
Well Adam woooo morning to you sir. Enjoyed your video liked the axe throwing portion I agree with you I wouldn't lick it either.. lol 😂. Hope your day is good and look forward to the next video.
What's the story Morning Glory? Pleasure fair? this should be good! ok. Watched it! I was NOT disappointed! Jack Sparrow? (imposter!) that meat pop looked so good! Lol! Jordan looked cool as a viking! thanks for sharing Big guy!
LOL My Friends Po and Fluffs are in this video. They where getting drinks at La Oubliette. If you want to get drunk really fast, this is place to do so. Plus the ladies are really awesome!
I think... you were throwing the axes like they were baseballs. Probably needed a more Arnold-esque technique... I kept thinking "You lika da juice eh? The juice is good? I get you more juice" all while you were eating that pork chop. ;-) I've been on the hunt for those meat pies ever since I was introduced to them at Epcot 35! Nice Jack Sparrow impression, saavy?
🤣😂Oh the Tom Foolery aboundz. Now I'm craving a Rat-Kebab🐀 "Fine Shwine" yuk yuk 🐷 Seriously Adam this is most enjoyable "faire" indeed. I'd like to partake in the Danse Macabre 💀☠💃
This is the faire I go to! I have friends who work there, Bonnie Morgan, Gary Morgan, and Molly Morgan. No im not related to them, i just happen to have the same last name
Thanks for sharing. Went to one of these a couple times in high School for a school trip. Don't know if you've ever made it out to the Northeast but there is a Ren Fair in Pennsylvania and New York with jousting, a live chess game, and a mud pit show. If you are ever that way and haven't already check it out!
Thanks for posting pirates weekend at the ren fair. We are thinking of going next weekend it will be their Rencon weekend where any cosplay is welcome. Wondering if we will see some super heroes or star wars people there.
