The Originals 3x11 Elijah comforts Hayley "loving any of us is a death sentence" 

"loving any one of us is a death sentence...isn't it?"...Now Hayley is realizing why Elijah was holding back during SE1 and SE2...he was so afraid of loving her and her loving him in return and to lose her would "break him". I think this scene helped to cement their relationship for endgame...

Her crying here is heart breaking

I like that Elijah just sat next to her and didn't say anything. This makes for a really sweet moment.

This scene was so wonderful and sad. Phoebe really brought it too, I'm so proud of her acting this season.

The way Hayley picked up Jacksons shirt, smelled it and broke down is exactly what I did with my husband's shirt the other day. He passed two months ago. I feel like loving me was his death sentence. Rest in paradise, my sweetheart. Love you too much.

This scene will never cease to break my heart. Phoebe's acting paired with the music in this scene was just so beautiful and heart wrenching. Although I honestly don't understand what everyone's problem with Jackson was. He was kind, loyal, and brave and only wanted what was best for Hayley and Hope. I know I'm one of very few who felt this way but I cried really hard when they killed him off and the fact that Hayley had to sit there and watch, unable to do anything, as Tristan ripped his heart out of his chest made it a million times worse.

I wanna find a man who loves me like Elijah loves Hailey 😩

This is my favorite scene with Hayley and Elijah because you can see the raw, yearning love both have for each other. But this is about the special connection Hayley had with Jackson and seeing the pain she is in because of it broke my heart.

Everyone is on here saying they didn't like Jackson. I he thought was a good character , and great husband to Hayley( they were actually kind of cute) . But somehow he just didn't fit in, like he didn't look right for Hayley , nor fit in with the Mikaelson family. But Hayley and Elijah are perfect for each other. I was sad because of circumstances they weren't able to be together from the start. But Hayley will move on and be with Elijah(hopefully) 💟💟

"Loving any of us is a death sentence." I just loved how they ended the episode with this perfect scene. All #Haylijah they are so in love, although Hayley is grieving this scene is so powerful and speaks volumes.

Hayley and Elijah have the most genuine relationship in this show even if they are not officially together.

This was heartbreaking, but so beautiful. Phoebe's acting has been beyond anything I've ever seen her do this season. Her scenes break my heart. Starting to respect/love hayley so much more. Best season so far, hands down.

This scene was so hearbreaking, you can tell that she blames herself so much for getting Jackson into this, and for not loving him the way he loved her, meanwhile Elijah just staying quiet by her side because there isint anything else that he could do or say but just be her shoulder to cry on.

Jackson is most underrated character in the originals

I cant stop watching this! It is so beautiful to see hayley so vulnerable and elijah always be there for her. The part when he went over and sat with her killed me. Definitely one of my favorite moments of the series

This scene is so heartbreaking, it shows the real love between Haley and Elijah but also it shows her connection with Jackson, I mean I wasn't the biggest fan of him because he came in between my ship but I was shocked when he died and I didn't expect it at all, I think I will miss him tbh

I honestly don't have any idea what to say about this scene.. my emotions are still all over the place and I have this.. kinda empty.. feeling in my chest.. really empty.. I've hated Jackson as long as I can recall because he came between Elijah and Hayley but I was in shock when he died, then there's this scene.. it's about Jackson and it's about Hayley's grieve.. but it's also important step for Hayley and Elijah and to their relationship and it means a lot for this show, for Haylijah, and for the shippers. I love the fact that it was Elijah who came there, and just sit with her.. and that he has always been there for her ❤

After watching numerous shows, movies this is the scene for me that still define the meaning of true love, how he was just there for her every time she needed someone, they never had a formal relationship but the way they respect and love each other was just so wholesome, they put their loved ones before their desires and that's what took Hayley's life, and even Elijah's sacrifice.

I ship them more than anyone! They just get each other!!! This is one of the most heartfelt scenes ever!!!!

Apparently Elijah had more lines to say in this but the directors let Daniel and Phoebe kinda improvise a bit and they felt it was better for him to not speak and just be there. He said it in an interview.

I honestly loved this scene! What would have made it even better is to have seen him taking her into his arms to let her cry into his shoulder.

3x10 and 3x11 had one of the best soundtracks ever

You'd think that a scene like this was meant to emphasise on Hayley and Jackson's love, and how much she missed him, but you know what I think? I think this was one of the most important Haylijah scenes in the entire show. It shows how for once, Elijah pushed away all the family drama, and he was just there for hayley. He let her cry on his shoulder and he just sat beside her, listening to her. This shows that their love, no matter how matter how painful it was, it was true love, it was pure. Daniel and Phoebe acted this scene out so well, you can literally feel the pain.

not only the song made me cry when I saw this episode it was her crying that did it....I know it is just acting and it's all fake but when you get into a show that much it's like real life and I almost felt her pain. Watching Hayley reminded me of how I was when I lost him....I was forever heartbroken, I was angry at myself, at him.....but I never stopped crying I never stopped loving.
