The truth was that being a witch didn't change him, it brought him back. He talked to Davina about that in the car ride. Kol was his mum's apprentice, he loved practicing magic. When that was stripped from him, the only way he could feel power was by murder. As much as it is dreamy to think Davina changed Kol, I feel like she was just lucky enough to have met the real him.

The thing is I don't think he tried to stop davina to help his family he doesn't seem to like them I think he was trying to stop her because he knew if she helped cause Hayley's death Klaus and Elijah would kill her i mean for goodness sakes in season 4 he manipulated hope into unlinking davina from the hollow despite knowing it would put hope in danger and he helped the hollow to save davina almost allowing her to kill Hayley in the process

Everything the Twitter page has predicted has come true. They predicted Davina will resurrect Kol in 3x14.

+AnameLessMind Yeah, I definitely agree with you. He's been neglected and not cared about a lot, especially by his own family so I think he was kind of surprised and happy that someone had said the words "I love you" to him but this is just my opinion

And whenever he would step out of line Klaus would dagger him. Davina telling him and showing him the love he's always wanted makes him happy.

+Rachael Adams if that is the case, i hope he teaches her , nicely not to be so immature in relation to the way her love is now. it is bridging the rationality of her decision making and doing things recklessly and not seeing the bigger picture. For example the originals crossover, in betraying his family, despite the trouble they caused. Even so, klaus, his siblings are kol's family and he will care for them as much in the end and not want davina implicating that or behind his back, because he will choose his family
