I think the part that kinda hit me hard was when Klaus passed by and Elijah didn't know who he was. Elijah shook his head and Klaus saw it as Elijah acknowledging what he asked for when Klaus said don't try to save me when I lose it. Because Klaus knew he was going to eventually lose his mind from not being with Hope he shook his head and Klaus thought that Elijah accepted it. The the little smile that Klaus had kinda made me sad because it was like he accepted his lonely fate from that point not knowing that Elijah really didn't know who he was.

I didn't even had to do research to notice the writing was a lot more like tvd that's when I understood that Michael who brought these amazing story lines was not on the show anymore. The season 4 left such a beautiful impression to me it felt like the series final and in my mind it is. I could spend my entire day complaining about season 5 so I'm gonna stop right there lol.

He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to resist his need to always save Klaus and that would have put Hope in danger. So as much as his decision made me sad, at least it has a better rationale than Elena's

Klaus Fan exactly. The Mikaelson siblings sacrificed themselves to save Hope. Klaus will miss a part of her life. AGAIN. Why isn't Hayley making a sacrifice for once? Hope barely got to know Klaus. She will just remember this very brief time they were together and honestly, it's sad. I'm done with JP and her crap. She just repeated a storyline. I know it happened differentely and for different reasons but this season turns out to be just like season 3. Ends with the Mikaelsons falling for years and Hayley being totally happy with Hope. I would've been okay if Hayley sacrificed herself too (and Freya could be safe to take care of Hope for a while or anything). But no, of course, what would the Originals mean if it didn't turn into crap just like The Vampire Diaries? I don't know about you, but I'm done. I'm done with The Originals, and I'm certainly not giving Julie Plec another chance.

the only trash here is you. pls use ur brain this season was only 13 eps. they use it to prepare for season 5. the real goal of this season was to use the hollow to separate the family from always and forever so a new chapter can start. donte Albert That's really to be expected. They have been clamoring for Marcel to die or be de-powered since the Season 3 Finale. M. Narducci made it clear in interviews back then that Marcel was not the Villain. Every episode in season 4 showed him playing fair with the Mikaelsons. Still, people bitched about Marcel. I guess they'll continue to complain next season. Whatever! I'm happy with the finale.

In all honesty, I'm good for Vincent not taking any nonsense from the original family. But, his conversation with Rebekah made him seem so stupid. Rebekah comes up to him mad because he didn't tell them everything about the plan. He says he didn't do that because he wasn't trying to convince them to agree with the plan. Rebekah tells him, that makes no sense because they would do anything for Hope, even if it means leaving her. He takes that as her proving his point. That makes no sense because they wouldn't have argued with him. He made it perfectly clear that the plan was their only option. Yeah, nobody would have been happy about it, but nobody argued with the plan.

I was thinking the exact same thing. FaceTime, Skype, they could even just send letter mail. The only thing about visiting Freya is I think they need to do it outside of New Orleans because I think the Hollow is somewhat linked to the city grounds? Freya did say something to Rebekah about the whispering going down once she left the city.

Vincent didn't force anyone to do anything. He didn't sacrifice anyone against their will. His plan saved Hope!

Personally, I was hoping Davina would come back with Kol to help. She had all that knowledge gathered from being in the ancestral plane and was all "New Orleans is my home and I will protect it" but then just left even though she knew the Hollow was still alive. But yes, that works too. Witches played a huge role in this show and then nothing happened aside from Vincent.

Well, the thing is the Hollow hasn't been defeated. Its power has been temporarily separated. The entire fifth season is what will work towards the official defeat of the Hollow.
