I love this moment, but I don't like how even in this line it's like Dahlia was only Klaus enemy, like it was just his fault, when Dahlia came not for him, but for Hope, and the whole problem was only bc of Esther. But once again it's made up like everything bad what is happening it's bc of Klaus.

I liked that Esther and Dahlia found peace together, it was sweet. And also, that last scene with Klaus telling Hope that story as a callback to the opening scene of the season - loved it!

The TO season finales are indeed a lot calmer than the TVD finales I'd say. They are still always some of the best episodes of the seasons and real good finales, but a lot calmer.

Claudia Black's acting, the one who played Dahlia, was phenomenal, especially when she saw Esther. I just love the shot where Esther and Dahlia died cuddling in the both young and present versions. I think it was the best shot so far.

This season ending to me was always extremely poetic. You have Dahlia forgiving Esther’s betrayal at the exact same time that Elijah feels he can no longer support Klaus in his betrayals! The Originals season finales are always a little more subdued, which usually means the calm before the storm, where the TVD finales are little more explosive and leaves the viewer on baited breath! TO tends to be a fine aged Bourbon it just keeps building and gets more enjoyable, where TVD is a wild night of tequila shots and the hangover the next morning! Both are extremely fun in their respective ways! Buckle up the next season is a wild ride!

Joseph Morgan fun fact since Jer noticed his brilliant acting: Joseph was only supposed to be on a few episodes of season 2 of TVD. The producers liked his Klaus enough to ask him if he wanted to continue on a few more episodes in season 3. He accepted on the premise to let the villain die in season 3. After getting into the role of Klaus, getting to understand and love the character, Joseph told a few of the producers that he wished he hadn't made the choice to end the contract with Klaus dying. The producers told Joseph that Plec and Williamson wanted Joseph to stay on because they loved his Klaus so much but since he'd been adamant to get killed off they were writing him off the show. Joseph scurried over to them to let them know he'd changed his mind.... and the rest, as they say, is history. Also, The Originals was going to be about Elijah to start with, but ended up being about Klaus because of Joseph Morgans portrayal of Klaus. 🥲

This is the second time that Klaus broke Elijah because if you think about it Klaus manipulated Elijah into thinking he dumped his siblings into the ocean. Elijah was ready to kill Klaus for that until he revealed that he didn’t ocean dump his siblings only hid them. Klaus truly is a master manipulator. Bravo Joseph Morgan!!!

I get what you’re saying with TVD finales vs TO. TVD typically goes for really big and over the top finales(for the most part) where TO is much more subdued and typically more focused on the storytelling and character work that has happened through the season. It’s more of a preference of taste but I prefer the TO finales because of the emotion that usually comes with them. TVD will have shocking moments in finale but I prefer more of the character and emotional guy punches that usually come with TO. And it can even be happy emotions like Rebekah’s return in season 1 which is still one of my favorite finales

No, but Klaus really screwed every member of his family. He compelled his adopted son to kill Rebekah's mortal body, killed Elijah's lover and left Kol for dead. All within two days. I mean, I still love him, but this episode made my blood boil, especially regarding Kol.

I don't feel that bad for Elijah at all. It was because of him that Klaus felt he couldn't tell him about the plan. Klaus did not trust Elijah because of how blind he is with family and with Hayley. Elijah let Hayley leave with Hope even thought that was a horrible plan. He could not see past his feelings for her. Klaus knows how Elijah is when is comes to family too so he knew that Elijah would not accept the fact that Klaus did not trust Freya. I mean he has been obsessed with fixing Klaus for decades. Klaus was the only one who could think clearly in this whole situation. It just irks me that Elijah thinks he has a say over Klaus when it comes to Hope. Klaus has done nothing but try and keep her safe so far, so no i don't get why Elijah thought what he did to Klaus was okey but what Klaus did back was bad.. I liked Gia too and it was sad that she died, but Elijah being this upset at Klaus over Gia and Hayley when he barely knew Gia and Hayley is not even dead. It's just weird.

@Lilfranklll Yes, i totally agree! I really liked them together when the show was airing but watching it later i really don't think they work. She even fits better with Klaus, like you said! To me, Elijah is just as bad as Klaus but because he is a nice person people look past it. Rebekah and Hayley have these rose-coloured glasses on when it comes to him, but they attack Klaus constantly(even thought he does deserve it most of the time) because he doesn't care to sugar coat everything. He knows he's not a good person. He does grow, which is good. Elijah has been acting like the so called moral guy for too long now that when faced with the red door, he can't take it.

Great writing. An interesting choice for a finale for sure. And the stake being destroyed compared to Thor’s hammer 👌🏼(y’all remember tvd season five finale bro.... one of my faves ever, but it’s the ones that hurt most that you end up remembering and loving) If you want to do a short but GREAT show written AMAZINGLY well, on Netflix right now : Squid Game, is currently trending and not for any reason. I’d recommend if you don’t react watch on your own time maybe I promise it’s amazing. Only nine episodes.

Season three is coming up and i feel it has a good chance of being your favourite, i'm suspicious to say which is the best of the originals as all seasons are great (plot issue, character development etc) and i love this one series with all my heart, but i assume this third one has a special flavor that makes me want to say it's the best (it's the curse of third seasons, my favorite tvd is the third one too). And about klaus, YES, joseph morgan offers us wonderful work since tvd, from his expressions, intonations and how he moves, i remember you saying he had the power to capture your attention to whatever he was talking about, and i feel the same.

My one thing is that sure Elijah can be mad at Klaus for roasting Gia, but can we please remember that Elijah is an original and therefore could’ve used compulsion to get Gia out of the compound and to safety. Elijah may not have liked the plan, but Klaus isn’t the only one in the wrong when it comes to Gia.

Taking the free will from someone is hardly a better option... And no, your point doesn't add up; Elijah talked to Gia when she showed up and Gia went away, Klaus got to her when she already left the compound so, it would've made no difference if Elijah compelled her, she left the compound nonetheless... So, no, Elijah did nothing wrong were Gia was concern... That was all Klaus.

Elijah’s anger over Gia’s death is 100% justifiable. There is no way Elijah could circumvent Klaus’ compulsion on Gia, even if he had compelled her to leave the compound earlier, the moment she left the compulsion had fulfilled its actions. Elijah’s anger over Haley isn’t as fair … if Klaus had allowed Dahlia to kill Haley that would have been unforgivable. If Klaus had never “allied” with Dahlia, Elijah would be mourning Haley not just angry at Klaus for the “betrayal”

@@Alewaxon Haley is Elijah’s blind spot, Klaus’ actions with enacting the curse on Haley follows Klaus’ thought process to a T. He is angry, hurt and upset with Haley for attempting to flee with their daughter, so he used his favorite form of punishment on Haley the only way he could. He couldn’t dagger her like he does Rebecca or his other siblings so the curse was the next best option. Elijah knows Klaus and predicts his behaviors, the fact that Haley was still alive and punished was extremely predictable given Klaus’ personality and behavioral history.

None of what you said tells Elijah that Dahlia wanted to kill Hayley and Klaus 'found another way'; in fact what you just said works as context for my comment, that this is how Klaus behaves and Elijah knows it... Elijah knows that this is the way that Klaus likes to 'punish' people in his circle and he is angry about it. So yea, you are right, Klaus enacting the curse to 'punish' Hayley is his standard protocol and Elijah knows it, has no problem believing that, and he is pissed about it... I still fail to see how that informs Elijah that Klaus 'spared' Hayley of a much more final fate. And just a quick note... Hayley is not Elijah's blind spot, or at least not his main one... Klaus is Elijah's blind spot.
