Beethoven truly represents the imperfections in humans. He is almost humanity himself.

I'm really glad that you promoted these unknown concerti! Especially his "0th" Piano concerto, which is one of my favourite works by Beethoven. Were you aware of his unfinished C major Violin concerto or his unfinished F major Oboe concerto? There are a handful of performances of those works, both with single movement completions. I think it's a shame that he dropped either of those works, since they seemed to have such good potential. I also agree with you entirely on his 6th Piano concerto, when I first heard it I was pretty disappointed, and thought that even the orchestration was a sketch. When you mentioned Rossini, a thought came into my mind that Beethoven possibly wrote the work as kind of a joke towards Rossini, sarcastically saying something like "Fine, I'll write in this style! If you can't take my real music, have this!". Great video!

Hi! I have been one of your subscribers for years now. I really like your videos and I think I learnt a lot from it. I'm really looking forward to join your one-on-one course one day, but I'm afraid that I'm not able to afford it right now. I mean, you still have a lot of wonderful followers, just to let you know. Also in a previous video, someone in the comment section suggested you to open a Patreon account and you said you will do it when you reach 10k subscribers. But instead I think maybe opening a Patreon right now could actually be a good idea and it might bring you some revenue as a return.

Thanks for the feedback! My one-on-one lessons are not by any means meant to be weekly at all. In fact the nature of the lessons I give means they are very time consuming, and depending on your level, some can take two to three weeks or even a month to get a handle on, so while doing lessons weekly might seem unaffordable, doing so bi-monthly or even just monthly makes them far more affordable. I recommend to most of the students I have that they take their time and that they shouldn’t book courses weekly, since doing so negates the usefulness of the type of lessons I give. As for patreon, it won’t be that much longer until I reach 10k subs, so I’m gonna stick with my initial plan.

Hi, regarding your composition lesson. What are the musical prerequisites to attend the lessons? I already read that I need a keyboard, paper and so on but regarding the musical background.
@MusicaUniversalis

Not much else you need. There are no prerequisites regarding musical background. As long as you know basic chords, key signatures and time signatures everything should be fine.

''The reason I'm including this as a piano concerto, even though it's an arrangement...'' The fact that you have the audacity to even be hesitant about something which BEETHOVEN HIMSELF actually did, rather than doing what Bach did when he arranged other composers' concerti (+ his own), really shows that you need to get yourself clued up on what you're going to actually include when producing a video. No good saying ''Oh I'll just say it is because of this even though that'' blah blah blah. Speaking of which: Prokofiev reworked his Flute Sonata into his 2nd Violin Sonata. Does this mean the 2nd Violin Sonata isn't really a sonata? Rodrigo reworked his Concierto de Aranjuez for Harp thus making it another harp concerto upon request by Nicanor Zabaleta - is this no longer a harp concerto? Brahms' 2 Clarinet Sonatas were also composer-reworked for the viola, thus giving 2 Viola Sonatas - are these counted as viola sonatas by violists still? Then you have the myriad of orchestral works reworked for piano and vice versa - do they not count? Honestly...

I can't answer for the channel owner... but I am not quite understanding what the problem is that you have with him. What has he done (or not done) that you are objecting to? I found it interesting to learn a bit more about these Beethoven works, although I already knew of their existence; but I saw nothing wrong with the way he presented them here. So what is it? Just curious, that's all.
