Dr. Tyna Moore is 💯 grifter Dr. Tyna Moore does not currently practice as a clinician treating patients. She has shifted her focus to educating and coaching others, primarily through online platforms, social media, and her podcast. She shares information on topics related to health, wellness, and fitness, often with an emphasis on alternative and holistic approaches. But it's lots of misinformation and opinions that's all

⚠️ I feel like the bulk of these comments are being left BEFORE they’ve watched a good bulk of the episode! She did not promote GLP1 as a weight loss drug. There is so much to unpack here. My suggestion is watch the whole thing first before you read the comments and form your own opinions. Everything isn’t for everyone Period! I am not co-signing nor am I dismissing what she’s presenting. The problem with society is we are so easily distracted/manipulated by media and what they want us to believe. We put all of trust in doctors rather than being advocates for ourselves. We know our body’s better than anyone, at least we should but I’m glad Steven brings guest on that are going to have a profound/poignant effect on the viewer. Don’t shoot the messenger! Important takeaways: 1. She's not talking about the drug Ozempic. She's talking about the peptide Semaglutide -- a compounded version of it, NOT made by a big pharma company and NOT in an auto-injector. 2. She is more researched on the use of this compound than ANY physician that you're going to come across, and also who will freely write you a script for it based on ZERO of their own study time and 100-percent based on drug industry marketing materials. 3. She is discussing using NOT for weight loss. 4. She is discussing using it at MUCH LOWER doses than any mainstream physician does. 5. Although not an M.D., she is a licensed prescriber and possesses two biology undergrad degrees from two different institutions, a Doctor of Chiropractic, and an N.D. certification. That's 13 years of academic training and 15 years of clinical practice she is speaking from. And lastly, her state considers her a Doctor and also gives her the right to prescribe. It doesn't matter if you don't consider her one.

Yes, I have been thinking about this for a while now with these podcasts. Quite a few of the guests seemingly give different information from what was given just a few weeks ago by another guest. It would be much better to have these people, who are talking about the same subject, fact-check each other during the same podcast. This would help avoid mixed information. It’s hard to know what to believe anymore in many cases. For example, with this guest, it would have been awesome to hear from someone knowledgeable about fasting, since I feel like the benefits the drug offers are also present with water fasting.

I’m a 44 year old guy who has been struggling with underlying insulin resistance, mild anxiety and depression and really struggling to drop the fat around my lower back and abdomen. I train hard, eat well, and really look after myself. I just felt like I was spinning my wheels and it was starting to get me down with the lack of results I was getting from all my hard work I was putting into myself. I’ve kept my training routine 3-4 strength training sessions, I eat 180-200g protein per day, walk most evenings and introduced 0.25mg of Semaglutide per week. My results have been amazing! I feel strong, clear, and my body is rapidly changing before my eyes. I feel like a warrior! I have so much more drive and clarity. I had a minor upset stomach a day after my first injection and that was it. My appetite has decreased but not to the extent I can’t eat. I have no cravings for sugar or junk and once I’ve finished my meal I’m done and have no desire to shove anything else into my mouth. It’s been Smooth sailing. The thickening that she has spoken about is real and not just in woman as I’ve experienced it to. My bloodwork is near perfect but I couldn’t put my finger on why I wasn’t getting the results from the work I was putting in. It has been the missing link I’ve been looking for and stocked I pulled the trigger and gave it a go. It’s worked so well that I haven’t gone up in dose and stayed on the minimum dose available. Just my two cents for anyone who can relate and are on the fence about trying a GLP-1.

I finally went to a ND recently and it was expensive out of pocket, but it’s been a completely refreshing experience compared to traditional practice with a primary care Dr. She had me come in for a 90 minute initial consult and picked my brain on everything related to my health and habits and history (and this was after I had already filled out a long questionnaire from her) and then she immediately requested that I get in-depth labs. Like this ND, she also mentioned to me the possibility of peptide treatment, which shocked me tbh, but at this point I’m open to it. I get my lab results back tomorrow and I’m so excited for the possibility of addressing targeted issues and feeling better. Going to a ND is money but my health is worth the money. We can scale back on other things in our monthly budgeting and make room for this bc I’m tired of feeling crappy.

Its amazing if correctly prescribed for specific disease but not everyone needs it. Your body naturally produces GLP-1, good healthy food, avoiding processed food, and exercise is all majority of people need. For select few with underline conditions such as dementia, type 2 diabetes, and Osteoarthritis; semaglutide may be helpful at correct dose.

Worst cramps I ever had in my life and was nauseous all the time. A few months after that, I ended Up in the hospital several times due to severe abdominal pains. They couldnt find anything. So i went on my own journey of finding out what I had. Took a very expensive gut microbiome test and found out I had leaky gut. Been fasting - eliminating processed foods - Lots of bone broths and gluten free. Pre diabetes is gone for over 1 year now, lost 20 kilos my overall mood is so much better. You know what I find mind blowing, is that people using GLP1 for weight loss are getting so much grief (lazy, cheating, easy way out). But this is a tool to help weight loss for those who have tried everything else. In my opinion it is no different than a smoker using patches to quit smoking. OK, so this is an injection (for now) and there are side-effects, BUT if a smoker took an injection to help them quit smoking, would they get all the backlash and hatred... definitely not. So why is there so much hatred and toxicity towards overweight people using it to slim down.

For one thing, my prescription coverage does not cover it. Also, I was worried about how it might affect me in other ways. however, I came to realize that all of my problems were inflammatory. What I realized is that I can try purchasing the Ozempic and then using it at the lowest dose. I was already losing weight. However, I had this horrible brain fog and inability to regulate my emotions half the time. I have been on a very low dose for only 2 weeks, and I already notice a significant impact on my appetite. My head feels clearer. However, now, I can control my emotions. It is an unbelievable relief. I never thought I would have this kind of emotional control ever again. The lack of it has made many forms of work almost impossible for me. So, even if there were no further effects, this already changes everything.

With the Ozempic pen available in Australia the 0.25ml dose is 20 clicks. So if you want 0.4ml instead of a 0.5ml dose, you just stop turning after 32 clicks instead of 40. I will mention that when I discussed this with my pharmacist he warned me that the pens only have an effective lifespan of 6 weeks from the time the seal within the pen is broken.

Thank you for having this conversation. I think Dr. Tyna is sincere in her opinions. This is what doctors used to be like before algorithms and managed care. Doctors used to be scientists who tried different therapies with their patients, watching and monitoring carefully and course correcting when required with the motto of "Do no harm" - now much less is required of doctors - they don't have to be curios and think for themselves - to be safe now means to follow the dogma. They can't be blamed if something goes wrong because that is "the standard". My biggest challenge now is finding any kind of doctor that approaches this level of curiosity. They don't have time/energy for it and it has been "trained" out of them. If you do your own research and want to talk to them about it you either get a glazed look, or outright hostility/defensiveness. That's why people are taking their health into their own hands and experimenting on themselves, because many doctors are not willing to help them outside very narrow parameters.

From reading the comments section, most people either didn't listen to the whole interview or missed the point. No allopathic Dr looks at the whole person and uses diet, lifestyle, vitamins, minerals, herbs and potentially drugs to heal. They use drugs, period. And typically they don't heal, just alleviate symptoms. Dr Tyna uses every tool at her disposal, this is what all practitioners should do.

Best interview i have listened to on this topic. She is 💯💯💯 spot on!!! 3 years ago i weighed 117kgs, was obesity type II and probably heading towards diabetes. Suffered depression, panic attacks and anxiety for many years. Had an eating disorder that i have struggled with since I was a teen. Had the worst case of cholestral, acid reflux, sleep apnea and a hiatus hernia. I was on the brink of losing my mind. Had hiatus hernia repair surgery, was told by the doctor i had to loose my weight and change my lifestyle. I was put on saxenda whose main ingredient is GLP-1 after my operation, changed my diet, cut out sugar, milk and white starch from my diet. I lost 67kgs over almost 2 years, my sleep apnea disappeared, acid reflux disappeared, anxiety, depression and panic attacks cleared, cholesterol levels back to normal and my kidneys and liver in the best shape ever. Eating disorder disappeared. This drug is a miracle and i am a living testament to all she is saying.
@Yiryujin
@Yiryujin Месяц назад
not doubting you or her, but main issue is that you'd have achieved same result by losing weight and changing your lifestyle and cutting out processed foods even without saxenda. saxenda simply made it easier because you have less craving. but all benefits you mentioned, you can get without saxenda by changing your lifestyle and working out. Now that you weigh 50kg, are you still on GLP-1 or have you been weaned off of it? For that matter, do you still need diabetic medications? People who lose weight and get healthy without GLP agonist tends to not need diabetic meds after losing weight. assuming you are type II and not type I.

wow, it makes you wonder if Ozempic is helping people heal because it helps the dopamine receptors not crave as much sugar and some inflammatory foods so they dont consume as much as they usually do, and this in return helps the body heal quicker, which is why they need to cycle on and off Ozempic... so is it really the Ozempic or the combination of lifestyle changes and helping the reward system not seek out some of these inflammatory habits they have
@Yiryujin

Most likely for majority of people, its combination of good healthy food, avoidance of processed food, and exercise that will lead to better health with clear mentality. Its why she said its important to build muscle over and over. Not just stay active but build muscle, lift weights. just staying active isn't enough, need to build muscle. Ozempic may help if you have dementia or some other disease such as osteoarthritis but its not necessary for majority of people. just need will power to make lasting lifestyle changes.

Not an ND - Natural Doctor. She is a chiropractor not an MD. She has a certificate only and says holistic specialist read on: Certified does not mean Naturopathic Physician! If she graduated from an accredited four-year naturopathic medical school and passed the Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Exam (NPLEX), she would be considered a Naturopathic Doctor (ND)[5]. However, the term "certified" suggests she may have a certification rather than a full ND degree. An Expert in holistic regenerative medicine: This indicates specialized knowledge but is not a formal medical degree. She keeps referring to her mentor and not schooling. What testing has she done in microbiome? She also said her colleague was a ND but never refers to herself that way. I normally don’t care but she's pushing a drug that has been given very bad reviews for hurting people. I'm Glad her mom and others are healthier. That's not evidence or research enough.
