I'm certain the new Panasonic GH7 is an awesome camera. Perhaps even generational in all that it can offer to filmmakers and photographers, but for me, I believe that for most people watching RU-vid for information on what camera to buy, grabbing something like a Lumix GH5 might be a much better way to go. A legendary camera in its time, and still to this day for many filmmakers, you can not only save in excess of $1500 if you go that way, but you will also still have a camera that shoots 4k, 60fps, and a plethora of other codecs to choose from, great slow motion capability in camera, a superb log profile, it has a full size HDMI port, a full array of filmmaking assist tools like waveforms and vectorscopes, anamorphic support, great focus assist tools as well, some of the best stabilization of any camera, and a huge selection of lenses and the ability to adapt pretty much any vintage lens as well. There's plenty more reasons, I mean, the GH5 is on par with many highly regarded "cinema" cameras, like the Blackmagic line, for example. And most importantly, the image quality is sublime, and so... just wanted to put that out there. Save some money, grab an incredibly capable camera that you can grow with and possibly never have to upgrade until you wind up working on set and have to connect with other artists, but as long as you are a solo shooter, the GH5 can be your go-to camera for a very long time.
