The encounters remind me of Destiny 1 heroic versions. Nothing too crazy that’s added, but enough to spice it up a bit and keep you on your toes.

As an introvert, raiding is scary. With a little youtube research and study of encounters, it doesnt have to be. When people say kwtd, that means know the encounters and what needs to be done to trigger damage phases. Then repeat. So watch youtube vids over and over on whatever you're about to dive into, then find an lfg group that is willing to teach. Since you watched and studied the mechanics, you already have the edge on those newbies that just chose to jump in. There's a difference between watching and actually doing the encounters though. But knowledge is power. The rest is your skill in destiny. Stay alive. Thats the number 1 rule. Follow all this and your experience in lfg will be easier. Dont just jump in blind. Go study up and give yourself some leverage so you're not confused as to whats going on or why people are saying callouts for certain things. You'll already have the idea on why they're calling out. Ive yet to do this for raids because im introverted. But i have done this strategy for dungeons and it works to perfection. Just stay alive and have an idea of the encounters. The rest will come easy because the experienced players who did it 50 thousand times will see that you at least have an idea. And if you stay alive they'll respect you even more. Edit: write down notes if you have to. Example: x enemy has to be killed to activate x buff/debuff. Or, this thing needs to be shot to start dps phase. This thing needs to be carried over to this thing to make x thing happen. We learned note taking in school. Utilize it.

Man…. I wish I had a raid team that actually played the game. My friends only come back to the game rarely so they don’t have the gear to do enough damage for this

I’ve run VOG over 500 times and haven’t gotten vex mythoclast. So naturally I was stoked for pantheon, only to learn it wasn’t in the loot pool😢

I have to say, those simple and straightforward explanations make me feel a lot more confident about running those encounters. Had a bad LFG experience for my first attempt (got kicked after finishing Golgoroth, think it's because I got distracted a couple times) and kind of got discouraged, but this video makes me excited to try again, and hopefully I can get a more patient team!

Unfortunately the hardest thing to get is finding a group that isn't sweaty as fuck and can't handle dying

This is where having a clan helped a ton. We got our Platinums last night, Heavy Void GLs work really well. The (P)Regnant was really good with Envious/Explosive Light. Further weeks, as enemies get tougher, are going to make it difficult to beat the time allotted though.

Honestly, Pantheon is a great addition that I probably won't be playing since I don't have a dedicated team and God knows I'm not doing lfg. Jokes aside, I feel like this was a missed opportunity to bring back 12-man raid rushes.

All LFG ever taught me is to not play with other Destiny players and stick to my friends. Too bad my friends dont play the game all that much. Oh well

This pantheon easily the best thing destiny realessed in so long from the difficulty to rewards it’s beautiful man took me abt 6 hours to finish but was worth it brought back that og destiny 1 hard mode raid feeling of raging and sweating and satisfaction man great mode

Edge transit on golgoroth, we used doomed petitioner and almost one phased golgoroth. Two floored care taker with doomed petitioner stacked with tractor, void soul (dint use a well warlock for care taker) used edge transit for planet boss though. Used parasite for atrakis with three t crash titans, 2 hunters 1 warlock for entire run, usually had 2 minutes plus left for each boss.

Getting my first edged transit since the update havent taken it off being able to just dumb 20+ rounds of it before having to reload is sooo good

This was an opportunity to teach players the mechanics. As a largely solo player it would have been nice to learn.

I don't think Cross knows what penultimate means... There is nothing about Pantheon which is penultimate (i.e., immediately preceding ultimate)

Big tip for the tormentor: at least in Macrocosm, you can completely ignore it. Just suspend/blind/freeze it without sending him into enrage so it will not run after you. Once DPS starts, he will slowly walk back to its spawn point and despawn. For Atraks, I don’t exactly know how they work but still, you can just ignore them.

Serious question as a new destiny player how am I supposed to do this. I have a few hardcore friends who play but they have their own groups and I have some less hardcore friends who would need to grind for good gear and study raid encounters in order to do this. I havent attempted lfg but I have not heard great things about it especially when I would need a bit of grace because I dont fully understand the encounters

The only call outs for planets that has never confused my raid team is “tip” for the front most, “shaft” for the middle one, and “balls” for the back one

Just got back into D2 after not playing since base. Sucks this is limited I would have loved to get some raid loot.

For the tormentor on planets if one of the ad clear people uses a disorienting grenade launcher you can keep it stunned all the way up till damage starts at which the tormentor will disappear

This is a really good way for those who don’t have the raid exotics or patterns to catch up. I still wanna do it despite having all the exotics and raid patterns (and max resources) for the chances at raid adepts. Ima give it a shot Sunday when I’m off

Funny thing I experienced yesterday, fastest completion was 55 min mixed team, guardian rank 8 to me rank 10... Slowest me being Rank 10, beat it 3 times, allowed to play with a team rank 11's 2h 10m... Never raiding with a team of 11's who blame their most dps person "me" for their problems of them messing up. Rank 10 goated

My team did our first raid in like 6 months last week it was a Crota run that took a while to shake off the rust(first encounter took more time by itself than the rest of the raid combined) yesterday we got our platinum pantheon clear in just over 2 hours. Whisper put in work on golgy gls were great for caretaker and explicitor and grand overture was fine for Atraks. We want godslayer but won’t be upset if it proves too difficult. What we really want is the rhulk emblem. Based on how this week went we think we can clear week 2 with no issues but week 3 is where we are a little iffy and of course that is the one we want to clear

For the platinum rewards, is it per account, or per character? Like could I run it on my Warlock, Hunter, and Titan to get adepts on each one?

This would have been the best opportunity to bring the older raid encounters back into the game but hopefully they do something similar for Leviathan encounters.

Do you know if you could hold off on claiming your reward for this week so you can get the specific exotic you want from the raids? I'm only missing Collective Obligation from that set of potential rewards so I won't really have any to claim. Will this be a weekly thing or will it only be available a handful of times and I'll have to do the harder tier to claim my second reward?

My team quit on Atrax as we tried doing it legit with three up top and thee on the bottom, the other tree encounters we completed in something like 45 min total before spending an hour and a half on Atrax slowly losing are minds.

can u only pick 1 exotic item at the end of the raid once or is it everytime u finish the raid? if its once , does that mean we cant get other exotics from upcoming weeks once we picked one from this week?

So exotics that aren't at arcite this week will be there next week? If you claim one of those will the quest come back or do you have to postpone redeeming? Also why do some people get firefly zaoulis and some get incandescent

And this is where Destiny 2 just kills it for me. I don't want to do raids with people I don't know, I like playing difficult content on my own. They are forcing you to play the game a certain way. At least offer some alternative method to obtain the weapons, definitely after some time has passed.

I’m mad because I didn’t see the quest update after beating the first step nor did I see Arcite when I did this so now I have to go through rng hell just to find another good team for pantheon, the first team I had was easy because the 5 of them were using discord and since I already knew they just had me do ad clear as I couldn’t hear them (it was a strategic use of ad clear, knowing the mechanics but ad clear = not disrupting anything) but we cleared it in an hour 19 minutes, after that my luck has been pretty bad finding a team lmao

As someone who doesnt raid, this seems like a great way to get that loot im missing out on.

It’s data collecting for boss encounters, concerning final shape. It’s a free update, it’s fun. We are still game testing for bungie though. They are just giving us better toys.

This content reminds me why I don't raid...used to love raiding, and even used to offer carries, but it's just so tedious now.

Is the things with the adept rewards from the triumph challenges gonna be changed/fixed? Will the adept reward for zaouli's roll be changed?

My question is are we limited on how many of the exotic weapons we can choose or do we get to select one each week if we progress through each track? I thought I saw somewhere it said we can only choose two exotics total.

I want to play raids… And this as well, but nobody from my friends playing D2… doesn’t have that much raid experience + Play since D1 but even in D1 i just played Raids, like 5times? And i want good weapons as well ofc… get Exotics i don’t have… But i think playing with new people you don’t know and get into a raid you don’t know doesn’t make sense.. They will be pissed and i will be ashamed.

This 10000% should be a end of year event that happens, also i have a feeling the raid for the final shape may just be as easy as RON to get as many people playing as possible

Yeah my fireteam lead pulled us to orbit before we looked at the quest and talked to arcite... We had platinum and were looking at our loot when I see "returning to orbit" on screen I started yelling stop over and over but it was too late... Guess I get to run it back alter this week...

Watching this really solidified the things I don't enjoy in Destiny. It's a time gated, FOMO infused sweatbox of fiddly puzzle mechanics we've been doing since the first game that takes weeks of focused engagement to "finish" for a title. Why do we want the title? FOMO prestige. Nope. Great video though, always appreciate what you guys do.

More than prepare us for final shape, I think they are trying to pull in numbers to see if raiding will increase with fireteam finder to see how many players will have the "full" D2 Final Shape story experience

This is beyond annoying. I have been a solo player since the beginning (I am not good) and almost never raid. Why can’t they add stuff for players like me.

As a solo player, I will never raid again. So unfortunately for me, alot of the coolest stuff is simply unattainable.

Do you have to do all steps in one go or can you select like the grandmaster nightfall node ?

Am I correct for the planets encounter that the best strategy is to have everyone pick up their planet at the same time that way they can be running away from the tornado whoever it is?
