The Paper Mill - Sony Z150 Example Footage

We took the Sony Z150 out on a field trip to get to know the camera.
The staff at Frogmore Paper Mill were kind enough to let me get in their way for an hour or so and film their fantastic steam powered paper making machine in action.

Footage looks good. Most of my work involves using my large sensor lineup of cameras which includes my FS7, FS100 and A6300. However, there are times when a small sensor camera with fixed lens works better on certain jobs. I had a NX70 for this, but have just sold it in order to upgrade to a full 4K lineup. I have an AX100, but whilst the picture is very nice, the consumer picture effects make matching with other cameras difficult and would like to fill the 'vacancy' left by my NX70 with either the X70 or Z150. The handling factor is certainly better on the Z150 with its 3 ring lens, but I am a little perplexed as to the in-camera features of both cameras and where they sit in Sony's XDCAM lineup.

+Andrew Jones Productions it's a difficult one, both are great cameras. I'd say the ergonomics are the main difference. X70 is the shape of a consumer camera but with pro features. Z150 is a full professional body with all the buttons etc. You need. Better batteries as well on the z150. More slow motion on the z150. Depends what you are after really. Carl
