I made this with a slip on collar that you slide over your pet. Used a part of leash as the handle braided into a loop.

I am having problems from 13:30 on. This is my first project and would like to give it to my dog training instructor at the end of the course I'm taking. Is there another video that shows how to end the 4 strand round braid? I've already made the handle.

Thanks for the tutorials! I made one of these leashes today, i really like how it turned out. I used a simple two strands snake knot for the lead as well, like the one you used for the loop, it´a bit elastic but i think it would hold pretty well. I would like to sell these for a charity I work with, we help rescue hounds in Italy. Would that be ok with you? All the money would absolutely be for the activities of this charity, no personal gain here. And if you would be so kind to allow me to do that, i have one more question. What do you consider safer for a not so well trained dog, the two sections-leash or the one you work with the long cord in one piece? I tied the lanyard knots real tight, obviously, but safety first...Thank you so much if you will respond, have a great day! Linda

The amount of rewinds i have to do to keep up with you turning the knots around is staggering. And then at the end "well actually you need way more length than i suggested earlier on" Good content but needs some cleaning up man. Thanks though.

ok im trying to follow you at the end of the leash which is when you do the crown sennit or whatever and you talk to fast and the way you demo it makes it hard to follow you jump from saying over this one and under that one and then right to the opposite one which is where i cant keep up because im trying to follow that little loop you put on it at the first , i started knots yesterday before all the knot pros come at me with the bullshit . i can do everything so far perfect ive got the handle and the leash both done but now i cant do this step

+rw666 ok i got it i went to another page and in the first try did it thank to the much simpler way to follow the knot ,just slow down a tad not everyone knows all the knots already , i like the delivery for the most part and im dealing with a learning curve as well

Hi Wondering if I could use the same concept - D ring and do the Cobra weave instead? I would like a more substantial slip lead. Please let me know? Many thanks

mukwah1111 Hi mukwah1111, Yes absolutely you can use a D-Ring in place of the clasp and use a cobra weave in place of the 4SRB. I have made many leashes using the cobra and D-Ring slip leash, it is very popular.I would recommend a 1" D-Ring to give you enough movement using the cobra weave. mukwah1111 You are very welcome.If you use an O-Ring in place of the D-Ring, you won't have the D-Ring sliding in different positions. Thanks again! -Kevin
