Definitely the Partridge Family was one of the best shows, God bless David and know that his music is his legacy he leaves behind so we can remember him by, always remember and never forget.
How could you not fall in love with him 💔💔 RIP my sweet beautiful man xx forever in my heart xx Almost 1 year since you passed and my tears are still falling 😥😥😥😥
It amazes me that David Cassidy (whether with The Partridge Family or solo) could take a cover song and make it every bit as great, and in many cases better than the original.
I've always loved his voice and delivery and I come from a background of mainly Soulful, R&B, and Gospel. My father was also in the industry during the 70's era. David Cassidy was and is the real deal.
"I Think I Love You" was my favorite teen song. Now I'm 61 and can see that DC was an accomplished musician. ...David Cassidy born 1950 - a decade baby!
OK, it looks like mostly women posting here. I was in 6th grade in Arkansas when I watched this show and most of the songs reminded me of my first girlfriend. love these songs and of course Susan Dey
In what alternate universe did the supper clubs they performed in ever exist? Middle -aged couples politely tapping their fingers along with formulaic Bubble Gum pap? Yeah right.
Growing up in the 70's was just the best. I wish David Cassidy understood how much he was really loved and he needed desperately to be loved by a good girl/woman. I've seen video of his third wife Sue Saffin (sp?) doing a duet with Cliff Richards, she was as innocent looking as Susan Dey, then, I saw her sing a duet with David right before they married and she was a MUCH different looking woman. Looks like she made herself what David wanted, a much less wholesome woman. I wish David could have had more than a friendship with Susan, she loved him for the right reasons and he couldn't, she was too innocent for him. Ouch! That hurt. He'd by that time been with too many hussies and couldn't settle for a sweet, innocent girl. RIP David, you just didn't know so many girls and woman loved you.I hope you are now at peace with yourself and how every female loved you, every male wished they had that hair and WERE you Your voice was beautiful and that set you apart from most, you had a beautiful vlice..Even the badboy image you strived to show couldn't stop your popularity.Between your good looks, great hair, great voice, you were unstoppable for a time. We loved you then and we still love you now. RIP dear beautiful man, you are missed.. God bless.
You forgot to mention Meredith Drew David’s first love and really the only Woman that was perfection to him but she didn’t really feel the same I think the song Take My Heart Song fitted David after that
David Cassidy admitted himself in interviews that he was painfully shy and he had trouble dealing with his Fame which led to is addiction problems along with a dysfunctional relationship with his father.
No they didn’t, Susan had a crush on David like we all did, and it just didn’t work out personally for the both of them, so David thought of Susan as his little sister, short story he rejected her, but gently. This is why whenever there were Partridge Family reunions she would not come out even for the show
Sexy ,spunky ,charismatic with talent ...these songs brings back so many memories of a different world ,wish David could have got his happy ending and hope he is now happy has love and at peace xo
@gmcclane If you are David, I was 13 when a lot of girls had a crush on you and your half brother Shaun. I had a young mind for my age. I did not even look at boys until later. I am 46. I now see my daughter acting the same way I do. She has a young mind for her age. I take it as a blessing. After I got married, at the age of 21, all the girls also had a crush on Tom Cruise. I never saw anything in him. I have been married for 24 blissful years.
I loved the show The Partridge family. David Cassidy was cute shy a was very talented. I also scences he was much different a withdrawed from people off the show like he had family problems.
They played this song twice, Once When, Keith was learning to play classical music to impress a girl he liked & the 2nd time when Reuben's Nephew was on the show too & they did play sunshine 3 times, once when laurie's childhood friend came back to town, 2nd time i forgot the episode of it & the 3rd time was the episode before the final episode of the show
Here’s the problem for me, and it’s NOT David’s fault. The producers adjusted it so David’s voice would be higher so he’d sound younger. I miss his deep, authentic, manly voice! He is always nice eye candy though.
It's too bad that Arista (who bought Bell Records back in the 70's), couldn't produce an album with all the forgotten Partridge Family that never made it to an official album. I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
