Had to opportunity to see this at the Melbourne International Film Festival. A truly heartwarming, amazing film that's really just made better when you learn about how it was made. Thank you for making something that not only moved me emotionally but inspired me to improve upon my own film-making skills! And for everybody here that's fawning over Shia, I can confirm that he absolutely KILLED it. He, as well as Zak Gottsagen and Dakota Johnson, really brought this script to life.

The best VFX are hidden, I guarantee there are CG and vfx shots in this film! Not all CG is 3D, sometimes CG is 2D, matte paintings, 2D/3D projections. Green screens with fake backgrounds, wire removals and more... I should know, its my job.

My uncle Brian passed away a few years ago.. He had down syndrome and I considered him my best friend.. 53 years old. Him and his kind, loving soul was taking away from us too soon. Guys I just have to say this was fucking beautiful. I couldn't stop smiling at the end and I never won't. My friend had down syndrome, he was a genius, but at times where people were controlling him he would lash out. I watched as he got him way in a few meaningful things in life. This trailer reminded me of him, it's why I smiled and it's why I'm happy I did.
