so well explained; thank you! I love your enthusiasm, and I appreciate the depth of knowledge you bring to your teaching. having watched a few anatomy videos of this region, I could visualize the muscle groups you were describing, and it all made sense!

@@RachelScottYoga oh yes indeed - utube can be such a wonderful way to find other teachers and learn and share together! my channel focuses on 'yoga and mythology', with a specific focus on the divine feminine in relation to yoga poses and practices.

This helped engage my core in a way that wasn’t compressing the organs in my belly causing discomfort. So now when I hear “engage the core” I draw up through the pelvis rather than sucking in my gut. Which helps with breathing during my practice. Thank you much🙏

awesome Rachel!! thank you so much for this video. Great info and I really appreciate how you talk about this with such clear language. Using anatomical words allows students to think about these parts of their body. I am going to practice finding these distinct three areas of my own pelvis in hopes of one day suggesting it to my students!

Yay!!! It can be a somewhat lost part of our bodies~ such a great opportunity for us to help bring it back into awareness 👍🏻💛

Great explanation ❤ Do you think some mula bandha awareness and exercises are good to teach in prenatal yoga classes?
@RachelScottYoga
@RachelScottYoga Год назад
Sure! For prenatal, would definitely want to teach to the quality of relaxation and release as well as engagement - an essential part for prenatal :)

Would this branch of yoga help with pelvic floor tightness?
@RachelScottYoga
@RachelScottYoga 6 месяцев назад
I’m not quite sure what is meant by branch of yoga. I may think that pelvic floor exercises that focus on both strengthen and relaxing the pelvic floor would be useful.
