I ordered this keyboard a couple weeks back and it arrived yesterday. I was really suprised there were almost no reviews on it so it was kind of a blind buy for me, but the quality has exceeded all of my expectations by a mile. My stabilizers did come a bit over lubed which isn't a huge deal, I'll just relube them myself. Great to see a review popping up, this board definitely deserves more attention.
@@Orlyy No my knob is fine, you might have gotten unlucky which is unfortunate /=. I also think there's no way to change the knob press button function, but if you do find one let me know!
@@jillestjoelker1607 damn. I took the knob off, and tried my gmmk pro knob, it fits as does standard knobs from xentric guitars. However with them being so small there's an obvious gap. I did order some 20 and 25mm knobs and those should be a lot better.
The click-clock generation demands everything to be FaST FuN ENgAgiNG. ...even if it's a 10-minute review of a productivity product. At least according to this particular creator, apparently.
@@Adrianwe44 If you think the Akko switches are some of the best, you haven't tried many switches. Their prebuilt keyboards offer a lot of value for the money, but their switches are mediocre compared to the big boys.
@@Adrianwe44 I didn’t mean to sound rude or anything and those Jelly Blues you have in your video are definitely the best tactile switch you can get for the money, but they really can't compare to something like Boba U4T, C3 Kiwi or Durock T1. They are not as smooth or tactile and they are very loud with a clacky high pitched sound profile. If you haven't already, try to get a switch sample pack and you'll see what i mean.
AKKO are amazing. I love my 3068B. I don't understand why they aren't getting the attention they deserve (probably because they don't pay for reviews like other keyboard makers do).
Yeah!! I’d love to get it, but the only thing I feel its lacking compared to, for example the Feker IK75, is foams. Have you put in any case foam to help the hollowness? (If so pls lemme know which type) :)
Fast forward 7 months later and I can assure you their brand didn't go unnoticed. They are making quite the splash in custom and prebuilt keyboard scene.
How does the case look in person? Does the polycarbonate case look nice or a bit too much, hard to tell from pics online. I'm considering getting that one as well
Akko is my favourite keyboard brand. Switches are cheap and great. most of the boards are already great stock and they have great designs and customer support! I have this one on it's way, managed to get it before it went out of stock! Great video!
My favorite 75% keyboard is the Drevo Excalibur. It is the only 75% and smaller keyboard I know of that has a numpad function - and it is actually useful for me.
Its pretty easy to add with software if your keyboard software has function layers and/or supports VIA/QMK. I use excel on a daily basis for work and for me, whilst a numpad is very useful, locking out 1/3 of your letters and numbers via a layer on a TKL or smaller form factor isn't really worth regaining numpad functionality. I find its much more practical to have a dedicated numpad. You can have the best of both worlds with a wireless/Bluetooth numpad.
Yep, wanted this keyboard but out of stock on Purple switches in Australia so I bought Akko 3098B with Jelly Blue, also a very nice board. Akko is doing a great job!
I just wanna say that you teached me the best spacebar hack, reseating the spacebar. God damn this is amazing. I've got the same keyboard, but I got the V2 version, and I bought some akko Jelly blacks (lubed) extra, which made it sound so frkn good. Now the spacebar sounded really damn good, but had some rattle on the right side. When you said, the spacebar sounds a little rattly, let's reseat it, I thought why not try that. So I did that and the rattle is pretty much completely gone. That's honestly amazing so I just wanna thank you for that. Besides this I also wanted to say that this keyboard is so good that I just left it stock. I did do the tape mod but it was really nicely dampened and pretty quiet stock, and the tape mod made it louder, so I took it out again. And I switched the stock crystal wine red switches with the lubed jelly blacks. Everything besides this is stock, and it sounds amazing. Can't recommend it enough.
Been trying mine out for a day or two. I like it, it's heavy, feels sturdy, types very quiet due to all the silicone and dampening layers, but.... I think maybe just due to the pink switches, I just plugged my 3068b back in with Jelly Blues and I think this might still be the best for me. It could all be due to switches, I might like the PC75b with a different switch. But it is a noticeable difference in desk space after getting used to a smaller board, it looks large just having the top function row and rotating dial, the last column on the right being spaced further out, and the bezels all around are about twice as thick as the 3068. I keep buying other boards trying to recapture the dopamine hit I got from liking the 3068 so much, but so far I can't beat it. The PC75b truly seems to weigh about twice as much so it feels a little more premium and typing on the 3068b again is louder. But I'm not sure I can justify keeping this one. I think I like how compact the 3068 is and it does everything I need, I don't need an F row and don't really need the dial that badly. Awesome board by itself, just can't help how much I love the 3068 already.
I’m trying to choose between those two boards, they both look fantastic. but since you have both, which would you say is superior in terms of sound and mod-ability?
Holy shit. Straight up, you just need to tape the underside of the pcb, tune the stabs, maybe lube/relube the switches or change them to some other ones and this board is complete. I think I might buy one. Edit: I bought one w/jelly purples. Dunno anything about those switches but eyy, might be fun.
It's a trivial thing but, Akko applies better hotswap sockets to their latest PCB. They are TTC Pokayoke Hotswap Sockets V2, whose lifetime is claimed to be 10K cycles. Some sockets of my Keychron Q1 (claimed to be 100 cycles) was broken less than 30 cycles. On the other hand, my Akko board (MOD007) still stays good after more than 70 cycles.
Thanks for introducing me to akko, I watched a ton of your videos and got addicted to their products. I have this model also with the silvers, and it is by far the best pre built keyboard i ever had. I still like my mod 007 v2. But for the value i will choose this any day
I am loving my new ACR PRO 75 with Fairy Silent switches. Looks and feels great, nice brass plate, very weighty, completely silent, and I agree that the stabilizers are pretty darn good out of the box. My favorite keyboard so far.
I’ve been looking for a new keyboard and been looking at a lot off RU-vid videos…… you just made my decision much easier, I’m ordering this on right now , thank you 😊 👍🏻
(Before reading this comment keep in mind I am very new to mechanical keyboards so bear with me here) My brother bought me this keyboard yesterday but with the Jelly Purple tactile switches and in the BlueonWhite color, and as someone who is really new to mechanical keyboards, this keyboard is really good for newcomers who want a really good mech keyboard for ~$100. Yes there are cheaper options, like the Keychron K2 (The only cheaper one I've tried so far), which is pretty good. But this just gives you more bang for your buck. Lubed Stabilizers, good switches, a knob. I would definitely recommend if you're someone getting into mechanical keyboards and want something hotswappable. One thing I should mention is that The BlueonWhite color of this keyboard has an outerglow that shines through the translucent casing, not sure if this is a feature on the Black one though.
Thanks to your videos I just purchased the year of the tiger edition of this keyboard as my first mechanical keyboard with the lubber Akko silvers. Excited for it to arrive.
Love your infectious enthusiasm! Why is no one else reviewing this board? ... Thank you for this review! Would really benefit from a comparison/your thoughts on Akko PC75B vs. Ducky One 3 (you mentioned the latter a couple of times in the video).
Mine is comming tomorow and i'm really stoked after watching your video again. Your video is also the reason why I bought it in the first place. Thanks for the review and letting people know about this keyboard!
Man you wont understand how much i thank you. Just ordered this last night and was searching for a review for so long that i got virus on my computer. [[ONLY 10LEFT IN STOCK NOW]]
looks a really cool board, maybe something for me;) but could you pls mod it and try some different combinations like with PE foam amd without the sillicon and stuff?
Bought this keyboard a few days ago and I can say that it really sounds amazing and hefty too. It's a heavy board and the stabilizers are prelubed. Basically a prebuilt modded keyboard. I'm really surprised it doesn't have the hype it deserves but I also riskily bought it. And I could say it's worth every penny
There's not many reviews on this keyboard yet, and I'm glad there's a detailed reviewer covering it now. Thank you! I'm interested in getting the White on Blue version eventually, what mods do you recommend with this board?
Akko is so good. Luckily I ordered this one a few days ago because now it'll be sold out lol. Amazon originally estimated delivery in June but now it updated to early May!
that's not a normal potentiometer knob. it's a metal shroud on a plastic housing, and from experience with other plastic potentiometers, it might cause problems down the road, from ratchets being missed (like a mousewheel that no longer works) to the thing breaking off and spinning freely. wish they had splurged and gone with the actual knob from the mod007, but aside from that and the north facing leds, this is such a great value.
I have the TH80 and a few days left in my return window. Seriously considering grabbing this akko. The only issue I see is in like the del key placement better on the th80
I just orderered TH80 yesterday and now seeing this I'm kinda torn if I made the right decision. Ofc everything is replaceable, but in case I don't go the modding route, I think I like the TH80 layout a little bit better (DEL next to BACKSPACE etc) and default keycaps look better too. I ordered with the Gateron Pro Yellow.
Mine got here a few days ago, same model, but with the purple tactile switches. Great typing experience, almost quiet, very muffled, yet still feel very tactile for typing purposes. I think this blows out any similar board (GMMK Pro, Keychron Q1, Feker IK75) out of the water. I say I think, because I can only compare the Feker to this one; I don't have the other boards to compare this to. It thoccs with my Akko transparent black ASA keycaps too. Really great, would buy as a gift for a friend.
I think the cons here is the dampening sheet below the switch just restrict the board from using 5 pin switches. Though I think you can remove the sheet to install the 5 pin switches later.
Yeah you can, you could also poke holes through the sheet after removing it. Maybe you could even brute force a switch through the sheet but im not sure about that
Just bought this keyboard a week ago. It sure is worth for its price. I wanna see you mod this!! What type of mod can you still do with this prebuilt keyb?
Damn, I was thinking about buying this board, I found your channel while searching for a review for the 3068b, loved your videos and decided to stick around. I ended up buying the Akko ACR59, waiting for it to arrive atm, you could review it for a video, very interesting board
One might add Akko Keyboards usually support per Key RGB - I mean like real per Key - you can give any Key any Color you like. I actually prefer north facing LEDs as I use shine through Keycaps and an ISO de Layout - and it is impossible to come by shine through keycaps that actually work with south facing LEDs other than ordering something like a K8 Pro from Keychron and harvesting them from it... I really hope this Keyboards comes also out in an ISO variant - the 5087S is already available in an ISO De variant.
Just got my keyboard. Considering its my first mechanical keyboard and I've gotten the Jelly Pink switches, they're extremely light and easily press-able. The spacebar and backspace are very mushy(don't know if it's over lubbed but the housing seems very wobly). Overall I like it and will see how it goes but I guess I would have preferred a heavier switch.
Hey, can you remap the key with the akko cloud software? And does the remapped key still usable if you use it on another pc or device like tv, phone, etc? Thanks!
I really enjoy the board, though it's a love and hate relationship with the silicone inlay for me , its nice with the dampening but makes the typing experience rather stiff
Bro you really need to mod this kb! I’ve really been considering getting this kb but can’t get myself to pull the trigger. I must’ve watched this video like 6 times already. I need to hear it modded and I think that will be the deciding factor for me. Please do a mod on this keyboard!!
Have been waiting for this review for so long! I am considering between this and the Feker 75. Can you help me with these 2? Which one is better for you?
If the feker ik75 In your country cost about 70 to 90 dillards then it's the choice if you want to mod it, but if you want a good keeb out of the box then akko, tho the pc75b has much more value because you can use the switches and keycaps for other keebs or use it stock
You get way more for the Akko. If you buy doubleshot PBT keycaps, case silicone and PCB/Plate foam, you are gonna be spending close to, if not more, than the price of the full set. Even if you want to fully mod the keyboard, you are gonna be better off buying the Akko and switching out the bits you don't like.
@@imghosty5805 I am actually quite a bit annoyed by how good the value is. I bought one of Akko's WOB keycaps set, as well as two sets of their switches for $80 + shipping for two separate builds not too long ago before they released the PC75B. I would have gladly bought the keyboard and cannibalised it for parts...
The one thing I hate about this board is that the BLACK version of the keyboard doesn’t come with the black switches, but the WHITE version comes with the jelly blacks???!!!?!?? Why, just why
I think it's because of the country you are buying it. Like here in Vietnam, we can have choices of keyboards and switches at the same time. Black versions have 3 varieties of switches as White, Purple and Black
My Akko PC75B Plus arrived today. I had to reseat the switches after some were knocked about in transit. I have to say I am super happy and so glad I watched review and decided to give it a go. Do you know of any keycaps in the same profile that are more shine thru? Man this sounds so good to type on and thing is chonky sounding
Let’s goo, the moment I’ve been waiting for since this came out less gooo thank you so much I just have one more request pls, can you pls make a review on the fantech maxfit67 review, it’s such a good 100 dollar prebuilt keyboard and it’s available on amazon with kailh box white switches or gateron milky yellow switches, pls make a review it’s an amazing keyboard
so I'm very new to this and I have never used a mechanical one. If you had to recommend one keyboard, which one would it be??? I've been bingewatching your channel and I'm just too indecisive at this point
The spacebar sounds more high pitched than the rest of the keys. Is that just due to the switches? What would reduce this, space bar foam, changing to thockier switches or re-lubing the spacebar stabilizers? 🤔
It also so come from the switch itself too. I can hear the "ping" very clearly from the switch, combine that with the Spacebar height will make the sound more echo and high pitched.
I've had a few Akko boards now, their lubing from the factory can vary from board to board. I have ones where the key is almost silent and gummy because there is too much lube, and then I've had stabs that are louder because it feels like they didn't put much on. I have a PC75b sitting right here and it's a case of very thorough lubing on mine, the spacebar and stabilized keys are all extremely quiet, almost too much, feels a little squishy like there is too much lube.
Another quality video! I was actually already looking at picking this board up already. However, your video must have reached a lot of people, the black version sold out on Amazon!
In the video it's mentioned that it costs $110. Clicking the link in the description it looks like the white version is $120 and the black one featured in this video is $149.
For me the transparent case is the reason I dont like the feker :))) Dont know much about it, but does the fekir offer similar quality of switches/keycaps?
@@ionuttoma6028 I'm sanding and painting mine soon, small compromise, Feker is barebones, which keeps the cost down, but allows more freedom of choice for other switches
@@b1gd312 I guess at the end it is purely personal preference, for me it is really important to have del home end pg up and og down, and akko offers that. Is more important to agree that they are both great value amd be happy about it instead of trying to pick a better one
This Akko board also has a slight transparency to the case, obviously a little more noticeable on the white model than the black. Video review by channel "ZONA 3G" shows a little bit more of the transparency compared to this video, but he did mention it briefly here too during the initial unboxing.
Great video, you've done a great job. I want to order it but I dont know which switches is better now, jelly pink or jelly black? I heard they are awesome.
Don't make too many transitions. Focus one camera on the keyboard only. We want to see the keyboard well instead of a lot of dizzying cut transitions. Shoots even more pictures to you than the keyboard.
tester84, tester68 (i recommend tester84 more cause its updated), k530 pro, k617 (the stabs are kinda bad tho) and i think thats all you can get for under 45 cause its not alot of money (FOR THE KEYBOARD COMMUNITY)
@@jeezerbrudhsiosana9366 there are better keyboards than rk61 and k552 now, i have the tester68 and i really recommend it. theres also an updated version of the t68 called the tester84
@@AUFartool I agree with you I think the tester 68 and tester 84 are the best value keyboard kits but I was talking about prebuilts, I also ordered the tes68 for my first custom keyboard I'm really excited
@@jeezerbrudhsiosana9366 btw, i recommend replacing the stabs because the ones that were in mine were pretty bad even after lubing, idk if thats just my model but yeah
Love your vids. Can you pls review the akko 5075B plus from akko as i think the one you revieved is not available for me. There are few reviews of the 5075B plus. Very reasonably prived board and on deal right now.
Hey, wanting to get into the custom keyboard realm but i dont know where to start. Im debating this and the Zoom65. Recommendations on which one to buy? also if I were to buy this board, are there any mods to like amp up the high and low tones, and tone down the mids?
Honestly I love thos keyboard all I did was change the switches from red wines to Everglide aqua king switches and changed the keycaps to gmk and it feels amazing I love thos board so much, also pressing crt L turns off the RGB on this board so watch out for that
I've got mine today, just a heads up for any of you dudes that come from life long membrane usage, dont get it with the silver switches, you could fart on them and they would actuate. Other than that keyboard itself is bangin'!
If I preffered 75% keyboards, I'd 100% buy this, but I don't like the smaller shift key that comes with 68% and 75% keyboards (I tried out a Kingston HyperX Alloy Origins 60 that was on a gaming setup display at a Best Buy, and I kept missing the shift key when doing a typing test with it)
I had bought this board a week ago and i was waiting for u to make a review on it, i got the white one tho with silicone case i did wish I would’ve been plastic or metal.
