Thanks for checking out our Metallica reaction. We finally listened to No Leaf Clover. We put this song on a couple polls during our live streams, but it didn't win. If a song is highly requested but doesn't win a poll, we just record it off stream.

The two songs that were composed new for the S&M concert, this and "-human", are outstanding. Then, you've got two that just meshed so well with the orchestral adaptation that they should have had it from the beginning; 'Outlaw Torn' and 'Bleeding Me'. The rest are still awesome and fun, but those four songs from this concert are just jaw-dropping.

The whole concert was amazing, my favorite part was watching metal take over a non-metal space. Both musician and concert goer (refined people in suits trying to move to a new kind of music and violinists fraying bows never meant to play thrash metal). The songs were chosen because of how well they work with an orchestra. Definitely check out Outlaw Torn (or any) from this show!

I am a die hard MetallicA fan. I love their old stuff without a doubt. But the new stuff definitely gets a bad rap, and I am a big promoterof the new stuff. Well technically Load, Reload, Garange Inc. S&M #1, St Anger, and now Death Magnetic aren't that new anymore. DM is nearly 15 years old so, yeah I'm freaking old lol. But with these reaction channels. I've seen alot of new light for the newer stuff. Maybe not St Anger so much, and I have a place in my black heart for that album. But definitely hard to listen to sometimes.

So been a Metallica fan since I was like 9. That was back in 1991. We all know what album hit then. I quickly learned about their “other” first four albums. Then Load and Reload hit right before this. It was such a change in atmosphere with all 3 of these album releases and I’m not gonna lie, I wasn’t a huge fan at first. Loved the Garage Days release in between these, but it took me awhile to really capture what Metallica was doing in the mid-late 90’s. It was just so different. Now I have a total appreciation of their versatility and it really shows how talented this band really is. Thrash, to masterpieces, to mainstream rock sound, to blues and even a country twang, to orchestra, back to thrash and they just have a total lockdown on what music should sound like with the instruments provided.

Brad was tearing up after hearing that line which still gives me chills to this day "and it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel...it's just a freighttrain coming your way". No one else caught I, but I'm pretty sure Brad was feelin' that...but instead of giving into the music it seems he throws a band-aid on it. I could be wrong, but IF you read this...well...it's ok to surrender emotionally sometimes. Still in all Brad takes ass and kicks names just for opening up to a music genre completely out the "comfort zone". This is good stuff...pure GOLD y'all!!! Pick your moments ; p

One thing I've yet to see reactors spot - the bridge of rhythmic instrumental is to mimick the sound of trains coming down the tracks, with the occasional cymbal crashes as the steam being released from the engine. This concert was a one of a kind mash up of metal and beauty. The concert was called Metallica S&M with the San Francisco symphony. There is a place you can listen to violin and electric guitar. It’s called country music but we call it a fiddle. This concert was from I think like 1999. It was around the time they put out their album Load and then Reload. They had decided it was time to try something new. They cut their hair and changed up styles.

In comparison to classical music metal is the one wich fits most. That's why it is so epic.

This song became a pretty nice hit for the band in 1999-2000. I was skeptical of this when it came out but bought the CD at our local Circuit City in the fall of 99 but I absolutely got addicted to the entire S&M performance. It turned out to be a great thinking outside of the box thing. Metal and Symphony….who knew haha?

Metallica put out a video called S&M (Symphony & Metallica) with several songs done with the orchestra backing them. The video for this one song is just cut from that full length video S&M. That's why you're dropped in the middle of their performance.

I love this performance, and this song. Metallica has been through a lot. It must feel like something fierce. You paused it before the big drop.

It's not a "video". Its concert footage. For Whom the Bell Tolls is awesome from this concert.
