Seems that everyone has their own way of managing their TickTick. I try to make my TickTick extremely simple: I only have 3 lists (High focus, medium focus, low focus). The tags do all the work to be filtered into categories such as school, home, work, and hustle. If you are able to handle all of those lists, then good for you, but it seems too cluttered.

Thanks so much for this. I've been looking for something like this for ages and couldn't find it because I wasn't sure what I needed. Loved your tutorial and I think it's going to increase my productivity huge amounts. I'm so sick of getting to the end of the day and feeling scattered. Going to start setting up my TickTick today and if it works for me, will roll it out to my team too. Really appreciate you sharing your video. Thank you.

Great video. Thank you. If you like viewing by “level of focus” and you’re not too crazy about the Priority level function, why not use the Priority Level to represent your focus level? Thursday thought that might be a way to get use of that function.

Thanks for the video, jumping into TickTick is quite intimidating so you are a big help in managing that fear. I'm not going to check all comments and will straight-up tell you that you can indeed have subtasks that are displayed in a normal view, you need to drag and drop normal task underneath another one (a bit to the right so it's not just sorting).

Does anyone know whether after I have used the "subscribe calendar" function and tick tick has successfully "imported" in my Google calendar, whether the two calendars continue to cross-synchronise? Or whether once the Calendar has been imported, it now has to be used in ticktock with no further synchronisation

Hi Chris, I’ve kept this in my repertoire of videos to refer back to now for 3 years, and still get something out of it, even if only as a reminder/refresher, but now I’m working on implementing my expansion on these concepts within Obsidian. :-) One other thing, my good man : you never did update your description to give credit to the person who inspired your energy/focus-based priority method. Three years; tsk, tsk, tsk ! ;-)

Very interesting! Any thoughts on how to balance work, health, hobbies, rest and relationships? (Building on your strategy)
@ChrisDaniels
@ChrisDaniels 4 года назад
I'm still working on figuring that one out myself. Though generally, be sure to have days that aren't focused on work. I personally tend to work an intense amount throughout the week (most heavily Monday, Wednesday and Friday) - then sleep in on Saturday, and dedicate the weekend to doing things that don't have to do with work. Even if you feel guilty about it, or feel like you should be working. It makes Monday more exciting (if you enjoy work, that is) and avoids burning yourself out by working literally all the time. Also, when time-blocking out my days, I make sure to schedule something fun to look forward to. So if I have a 12 hour work day, I make sure to schedule in an hour walk with my girlfriend and time to have dinner / hang out a bit in the evening. Just make sure to prioritize things that take you away from work on occasion. It'll be much more effective for your mental state in the long run. I mean, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, ya know?
